WHAT IS DOBBLE?
- Dobble, also known as Spot It! in some regions, is a fast-paced card game that challenges players to find matching symbols on two cards.
- The game consists of a deck of cards, each featuring various symbols.
OBJECTIVE
- The main objective of Dobble is to be the first to spot and call out the matching symbol between two cards.
INSTRUCTIONS
Setup:
- Shuffle the deck of Dobble cards.
- Place one card in the center, face-up, to start the game.
- Distribute the remaining cards evenly among the players, face down.
- Each player flips over the top card of their stack and places it next to the central card.
- Players simultaneously look for the one symbol that appears on both their card and the central card.
- The first player to spot the matching symbol calls it out and points to it on both cards.
- That player then takes their card and places it on top of the central card, covering it partially.
- A new central card is revealed from the player's stack, and the process is repeated.
VARIATIONS OF THE GAME
- The Towering Inferno: Instead of placing cards on the central pile, create a tower of cards. Players must find matches on the top card of the tower. When a player makes a match, they take both cards and add them to their stack. The player with the tallest tower at the end wins.
- Hot Potato Dobble: Play Dobble as usual, but set a timer. When the timer goes off, the player holding the central pile of cards loses points. The game continues until someone reaches a set number of points.
- Dobble Team Challenge: Play Dobble in teams. Each team works together to find matches. Teammates can communicate and strategize to identify symbols faster.
- Dobble Tournament: Organize a Dobble tournament with multiple rounds. Winners of each round advance to the next level until a final champion is determined.
- Dobble Showdown: Play Dobble in a face-off format. Two players go head-to-head, and the winner stays on to face the next challenger. Keep a tally of wins, and the player with the most victories is the ultimate Dobble champion.
