WHAT IS DOBBLE?
  • Dobble, also known as Spot It! in some regions, is a fast-paced card game that challenges players to find matching symbols on two cards.
  • The game consists of a deck of cards, each featuring various symbols.

OBJECTIVE

  • The main objective of Dobble is to be the first to spot and call out the matching symbol between two cards.

INSTRUCTIONS

Setup:

  1. Shuffle the deck of Dobble cards.
  2. Place one card in the center, face-up, to start the game.
  3. Distribute the remaining cards evenly among the players, face down.
Gameplay:
  1. Each player flips over the top card of their stack and places it next to the central card.
  2. Players simultaneously look for the one symbol that appears on both their card and the central card.
  3. The first player to spot the matching symbol calls it out and points to it on both cards.
  4. That player then takes their card and places it on top of the central card, covering it partially.
  5. A new central card is revealed from the player's stack, and the process is repeated.

VARIATIONS OF THE GAME

  1. The Towering Inferno: Instead of placing cards on the central pile, create a tower of cards. Players must find matches on the top card of the tower. When a player makes a match, they take both cards and add them to their stack. The player with the tallest tower at the end wins.
  2. Hot Potato Dobble: Play Dobble as usual, but set a timer. When the timer goes off, the player holding the central pile of cards loses points. The game continues until someone reaches a set number of points.
  3. Dobble Team Challenge: Play Dobble in teams. Each team works together to find matches. Teammates can communicate and strategize to identify symbols faster.
  4. Dobble Tournament: Organize a Dobble tournament with multiple rounds. Winners of each round advance to the next level until a final champion is determined.
  5. Dobble Showdown: Play Dobble in a face-off format. Two players go head-to-head, and the winner stays on to face the next challenger. Keep a tally of wins, and the player with the most victories is the ultimate Dobble champion.
