One of the most impactful war that is currently happening is the war of Ukraine against Russia which started on February 23, 2022.
It's important to alert younger generations about the consequences that wars can potentially bring in the future. Nonetheless, war not only brings destruction, it also provokes pro-social behaviors, greater civic involvement and participation, more gratitude for what we have, compassion and solidarity, more defense of freedom and dignity, greater respect for diversity and human rights.
International peace is the first reason that led, after World War II, to the founding of the United Nations. The United Nations aims to ensure that we do not return to the times of interstate wars, but also to protect citizens from serious violations of human rights.
