Who is valentino rossi?

Valentino Rossi is one of the greatest motorcycling champions that the history of this sport has ever seen. He was the only Italian rider to win nine world titles in four different categories.

He was born on February 1979,in Urbino into a family passionate about motorcycling. Valentino seemed destined for a great future in racing. As a child, he began following world championship races even before he could walk

In 1995, at the age of 16, he won the Italian 125 class championship becoming the youngest champion in history at that time. His debut in the world championship took place in 1996. When he was 18, he became World Champion in the 125 class: it was his 1st world title. Two years later he was the strongest again. He won the 250 class motorcycle world championship: his second world title.

In 2001 he accomplished a historic feat by winning 11 grand prix and therefore also the 500 class MotoGP. He was the 1st Italian to win the MotoGP in 3 different categories. At the age of 22, Valentino, became the 4th youngest world champion in history. Valentino Rossi - 24 years old - climbed to the top step of the podium celebrating his 5th world title. In 2005, after the victory in Malaysia, he became world champion for the 7th time. A year later his autobiography "What If I Had Never Tried It" came out in bookstores.

On 28 September 2008 in Japan, Valentino won and became world champion for the 8th time in his career. In June 2009 in Assen, Holland, he reached 100 career victories, 40 of them with Yamaha. In October he won his 9th World Championship, in Malaysia. The end of an era. After 26 seasons, Rossi ended his career with the last race in Valencia, on 14th November 2021. His daughter was also born in the same year.
