Tertiary colors: originate from the mixture of a primary color and a secondary color

Secondary colors: orange, green, and purple

Primary colors: red, yellow, and blue

The colors are divided into three major families

Green yellow = yellow green

Red purple = reddish purple

Blue purple = bluish purple
