Hans Kelsen

Hello good morning. I am Mary Nely Aguayo Lopez. I am currently studying the third semester of Law. This project is from the Preintermediate English subject and the topic is: Hans Kelsen. In this brief talk about Hans Kelsen I have tried to collect the most important moments of his life, as a teacher and his writings.

Hans Kelsen

He was born on October 11, 1881 in Prague, the son of a Jewish couple.

Studies and Writings

In 1911 he studied at the University of Vienna. In 1919 he was appointed professor of administrative law. In 1920 he created the draft constitution for the country.

  • In 1936 he emigrated to Switzerland and published Pure Theory of Law.
  • In 1936 he moved to Prague.
  • In 1940 he emigrated to the United States to get away from narcism.
