Comparison with: as ... as
We can use as … as with an adjective to say that two things are the same, or not as … as to say that one thing is less than another. Examples: Her hair is as long as mine. It's not as sunny as yesterday.

We can also use expressions like different from, similar to, and the same as. Examples: - England is different from the United Kingdom. - His car is similar to mine. - The results from the first test are the same as the results from the second.
5 Rules of the comparison
forming cOMPARATIVE ADJECTIVES
1. When the adjective is MONOSYLLABLE, and BISILLABLE we only add "er".
Example:Old Older small smaller
Comparative: - I am older than you. - My brother is smaller than me
More examples: Young - younger tall - taller

2. When the adjective ends in Y, we change the y to i, we add er.
Example: Happy happier friendly friendlier
Comparative: - My dog is happier than my cat. - Jason is friendlier than my sister.
More examples: busy - busier pretty - prettier

3. When the adjective ends in C V C, we double the last letter and add er.
Example:Fat fatter thin thinner
Comparative: - My cat is fatter than my dog. - Lisy is thinner than Ana.
More examples: hot - hotter big - bigger

4. When the adjective has more than 2 syllables, we add "more".
Examples:Famous more famous intelligent more intelligent
Comparative: Arjona is more famous than you. Einstein is more intelligent than me.

5. There are adjectives that have no rule in their comparative form.
Examples:Good better
Comparative: The rabbits are better than birds.
More examples: bad - worse little - less
