You can give commands directly to Merlyn using the Push-to-Talk button on the remote. Simply press and hold the push-to-talk button, wait for the chime, and give your command. For example: Press and hold the Push-to-Talk button and say, "Go to Youtube."

To move up and down on a webpage, make sure your mouse is hovering on the screen on which you want to scroll. Then, use the D-Pad to scroll up and down. You can also scroll using voice commands. Press and hold the Push-to-Talk button on the remote and say, "Scroll down," or "Scroll up." These voice commands will allow Merlyn to move your webpage incrementally up and down with ease.

It's simple to open and use Merlyn Chat, just press and hold the Push-to-Talk button and ask any question. Merlyn chat will automatically open and display a concise response with relevant images and ideas for follow-up questions to spark imagination and drive authentic learning experiences. You can also access Merlyn chat from the overlay, and with a custom button on the remote.

You have misplaced your remote. Do not panic... Merlyn can help you find your lost remote! Go to your computer and with your regular mouse, locate and click on the Merlyn Orange dot in your system tray. That action will open the Overlay. Then, click on the remote icon in the overlay. Your lost remote will begin to chime and audibly enable you to locate it. Some teachers intentionally hide their remote and use this as a hide-and-seek game as a class reward or for a brain break.
