George "Machine Gun" Kelly

- Character: Kelly was a Prohibition gangster involved in armed robbery. His nickname "Machine Gun" referred to his frequent use of machine guns during his crimes.- Reason for incarceration: Kelly was convicted of kidnapping. He was involved in the kidnapping of Charles Urschel, a wealthy businessman, and was sentenced to Alcatraz.

- Character: Karpis was a hardened criminal and leader of the Barker-Karpis gang during the Great Depression. He was known for his cold-blooded cruelty. - Reason for incarceration: Karpis was convicted of kidnapping. He was involved in the kidnapping of billionaire William Hamm and was sentenced to spend time at Alcatraz.

Alvin "Creepy" Karpis

- Character : Son of Ma Barker, Arthur Barker was an active member of the Barker-Karpis gang, involved in various crimes alongside his brother Fred. - Reason for incarceration : Barker was convicted of involvement in armed robbery and kidnapping. He was transferred to Alcatraz because of his dangerousness and criminal record.

Arthur "Doc" Barker

- Character: Bulger was a notorious criminal, head of Boston's Winter Hill Gang. He was renowned for his ruthless personality and strategic intelligence. - Reason for incarceration: Bulger was convicted of a series of crimes, including racketeering, extortion, murder and involvement in drug trafficking. He was a fugitive for many years before being captured in 2011. In 2013, he was transferred to Alcatraz, where he was murdered by fellow inmates in 2018.

- Character: Stroud was a violent, antisocial criminal. While at Alcatraz, he developed an interest in ornithology and raised birds in his cell, earning the nickname "The Bird Man".- Reason for incarceration: Stroud was convicted of murder. Initially sentenced to death, his sentence was commuted to life imprisonment, and he spent much of his life in solitary confinement.
