Your task is to create a presentation about a state in the USA and present it to the class.

gather information

Use the internet to find out as much as possible about your state.Save the information in a folder on your desktop.Find out information to answer these questions:

  • What's its capital city? What are other major cities? What should you see there?
  • What can you find out about the nature (national parks etc.)
  • How many people live in the state?
  • What's the state's history? What is it famous for?
  • Which sights and places are there to see/visit? What is interesting about them?
  • Politics: Who is the state's governor? Is it a 'red' or 'blue' state?
  • Which famous people are from the state?
  • What can you find out about the culture (music, typical food...)?
  • What's the state's most famous sports team?
  • Would you like to live there? why?/why not?
  • Are there any fun facts? (e.g.: Does the state have a nickname? Why?)
  • ... (other interesting info)

Now that you have all the information about your city, your task is to create a presentation about her/him.
