Issues in college

Many students have complained that there simply is not enough space for them to sit down somewhere at college. A prime example of this is the refectory and the B3 study zone during lunch. If the college wants to enroll more students, they should ensure they have the capacity for them.

Study spaces

Due to college enrolling more students, it has become more difficult to find a place to study and focus in peace. There is too much noise in areas like the refectory, the library is always full and so are the break out areas and study zones. The study area in T-block is too small to compensate for 500 additional students. This is a problem for many students who cannot study at home for many different reasons

A small number of people have criticised that learning support is limited and the learning support team at college rarely reply to their emails of students trying to contact them to receive the support they were promised. Introducing learning support services in college is imperative to ensure that every student receives the tailored assistance they need to excel. By offering targeted support, Bilborough college can empower students to overcome obstacles, develop essential skills, and increase their overall academic performance.

Learning support

In recent times, none of us are a stranger to inflation however we wish college can support us better by reducing the prices of the food they sell, to help allievate the financial pressures that we all receive. Also, accessible food choices contribute to a healthier and more inclusive environment, ensuring that students from diverse economic backgrounds can focus on their studies without compromising their well-being.

Cheaper food prices

Extended waiting times can significantly cut into students' break periods which limits their relaxation and social time. Moreover, long queues lead to rushed meals or skipped lunches, which can negatively impact students' concentration in afternoon classes. Additionally, a crowded and slow lunch line may lead to inadequate nutrition on a frequent basis. It is crucial for college to address lunchtime procedures, ensuring students have enough time to eat, socialise, and relax during their breaks.
