The Japanese eat mainly natural and fresh foods such as fish, rice, vegetables, seaweed, soybeans and green tea. Additionally, this diet is generally low in saturated fats, sugars and red meat, making it very healthy and nutritious. The majority of the Japanese diet is the consumption of fish (84%). A food that is a source of omega-3, an essential fatty acid for the human body, which has been shown to have numerous health benefits, such as reducing the risk of heart disease and inflammation in the body.The fish that are most consumed are salmon, tuna, herring and bonito Also another component of Japanese food is rice, it is a source of complex carbohydrates, and is low in fat and cholesterol. Additionally, this food is rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B, iron and zinc. The Japanese diet also includes a large amount of vegetables such as turnip, carrot, spinach, broccoli, eggplant, pumpkin and cabbage. These are rich in nutrients such as fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. Another important component is soy.
