Context
Aliens have invaded our planet and they come from planet "R&R". They have been destroying every single planet not loving what they consider to be TRUE music. The Earth is under threat because we have been poisoned by the music inhabitants of planet "RGTON" spread all over the world. You are the only one on Earth who still loves Rock and Roll and the destiny of all of us is in your hands. They have set an ultimatum: "he who can complete the lyrics of classic rock songs without any mistakes will be the saviour of all humanity" Dare you?
Objectives
The objective of this Breakout it to review verbal tenses used in classical rock songs in English. Students must be aware of the widespread use of English in the world and how much English they know even when they think they don't. Music is a cultural way of expression showing many times the way of thinking, traditions, society and many more things around the speakers of a foreign language. Let's see what they know or what they can infere from the context provided.
Narrative
Every test will have a section of the lyrics of classic rock songs To review contents of 2 bachillerato. Every screen will have a picture of the band or singer as a template, as well as a link to the song or video. Or the section of the song chosen. Every time they do it right, aliens will rejoice as they will know that there’s still hope for humanity and will give the participant a number to unblock the final treat…If wrong, Maluma will rejoice also as he will continue to reign this collapsing planet.
Design
There will be three different levels of difficulty with a surprise in the middle to relax the participant. FIRST LEVEL: Here the participant will have to fill the gaps of the lyrics of different rock songs every rockhead would know by heart. All of the tests will have pictures of the group or singer as templates. SECOND LEVEL: Here there will be a mixture of trials. One will be to guess the song through a wrong translation of the title of the song, another to create passive or active sentences from lyrcs, and even order elements in a sentence belonging to a rock song. THIRD LEVEL: Here the participant will hear part of the song and will have to rephrase it according to instructions given. Passing all of them will give access to the final prize: saving the world and listening to a rock hymn.
Dynamics
The participant will have to solve different trials using his/her knowledge of the lyrics of rock songs. But all this wil be applied to reviewing grammar from 2 bachillerato. All the trials will have a limited time to be done so as the participant won't have time to go online and check the possibiities. No intertent connection will be allowed during the test. There will only be one possible answer per each trial.
Workings
- Review verbal tenses and vocabulary seen to overcome trials. -Overcome challenges to free the world from a threat. - Focus on listenings to get infomation needed. -Show your knowledge of rock lyrics to defeat Maluma and their kicksides.
