Introduction

Welcome to the island of Guinevia!

You and your friends are world travelers who have just arrived in a new country for an exciting vacation. However, your curiosity leads you to explore an old mansion rumored to be haunted. As you enter, the door slams shut behind you, and you realize you are trapped! A mysterious voice echoes through the mansion, challenging you to find the key to escape within an hour, or be stuck forever.

The Study

You just found a secret room. You go through the drawers and find foreign documents that contain what looks like important information. You see the word "ETHOS." What could that mean?

You open up a book and an image falls to the ground. The picture is a bit faded but you see a family and a puppy. The family is smiling but the puppy looks sad. You feel a strong emotional response seeing the sad puppy and wonder what happened to it. You want to find the puppy while you are on the island. How did this image move / persuade you?

The Kitchen

You go to the kitchen and see what else you can find. Maybe you’ll find some food to attract the puppy to return. You open up the drawers and see a big bag labeled as: Understand the Beauty of Presence. You wonder what’s inside. You notice that three of these words are two-syllable words. What parts of these words would stress?

The Art Gallery

You continue to walk through the mansion. You find an old art gallery with many paintings around the room. While you are there, you hear someone shouting in another room. It’s hard to understand what they are saying. You hear the words, “changed” and “worked.” What -ed ending did you hear?

The Cryptic Code Room

You get scared and try to find your way out of this mansion. You’re getting lost in its maze! How do you find a way to crack the code while keeping a level head? You start running but then step on something that leads to another door opening. You hear the voice coming closer to you so you run into that room. But the door locks you in! In this new room, you must hit the nail on the head to open a locked chest containing a key to the exit.

Finally! You’ve found the back door out of this strange mansion. Now you must use all the keys you’ve collected throughout the rooms to unlock the last door and escape the mansion.
