Dear Mum and Dad, I arrived at Hogwarts yesterday and it was amazing! I travelled on the Hogwarts Express and I saw the huge castle for the first time. In the evening, we had the Sorting Ceremony. The Sorting Hat put me in Gryffindor, and I met two new friends in the common room. Today I had my first classes. I learned a spell in Charms and I made a simple potion with Professor Snape. I also practised with my wand, but I was a little nervous. I really enjoy Hogwarts. The teachers are strict but kind, and the Great Hall is beautiful.
