Plot
The film portrays the story of René Goscinny and Jean-Jacques Sempé as they create the influential Le Petit Nicolas series of illustrated children's books, blending both scenes that directly adapt vignettes from the books and scenes that depict the real world creation of the books including Goscinny and Sempé interacting with and talking to Nicholas directly.
Review
I recently watched the cartoon "Little Nicolas". Before that, I had only glimpsed the book about Nicolas on library shelves and had never dared to take it to read. But the film did everything for me, there was no doubt left. The whole cartoon is permeated by this warm feeling of home comfort, simplicity and light. I laughed at Nicola's jokes and clumsiness, and cried at the cruelty of fate to the author. Everything was there. The cartoon did not hesitate to raise difficult topics, showing us death and loss, but gave us hope. The authors will live in Nicolas, they will forever remain with him in the hearts of millions of children and adults who grew up on these books or want to plunge into a wonderful moment of childhood.I think the movie is amazing. He is one of those who is worth the attention of both children and adults. The topics in it are close and understandable to everyone, because there is no other way, it's all about our ordinary life. The story of two authors who created many wonderful works, including Nicolas, is told so briefly, but so clearly. We see their childhood, which was not always simple, the difficulties they faced, but they steadfastly resisted them. Their path is difficult from the creators from the basement, who did not want to be taken anywhere, to the significant authors of France and, of course, the favorites of children around the world.
