Narrative about your research English practicum in online environments.

This portfolio will talk about the research practice that I carried out in virtual environments. First of all, I had 2 groups in charge, with students from the English II course, in one group I had 4 students assigned and in the other 4 students, with each group worked 12 sessions in total. The dynamic to be able to make this proposal was to carry out each of the classes in a very striking and interesting way, each of the sessions were very practical, the students had opportunities to participate and talk among themselves, the tools with which they worked It was EducaPlay and Kahoot, these platforms helped me a lot, because with them I was able to evaluate the knowledge of each student.

The class that most marked this research process was held on October 5, 2023, three students participated in group A and three in group B, the topic they worked on was the WH – Question and the objective was for each of them to The students knew its use, asked questions among themselves and did activities according to each WH.

I chose this class, because it was the second session I did and from there I realized that I had the skills to carry out this practice and teach English in virtual environments. The way the work was done was very fluid and interesting, each of the students participated without any problem, they learned a lot and from that moment on I felt very motivated to carry out each of the sessions.

REFLECTION

This research practice in online environments helped me a lot in my profession as an English teacher, it helped me overcome fears, I had more confidence to teach a class, I was able to generate great contributions to the educational field, in addition to contributing to developing cognitive skills and abstraction, allowed me to be more reflective and sensitive to topics that helped improve some of the students' skills.To conclude, I must consider that research is like the engine of new opportunities for the growth of our knowledge, because this online practice serves to learn to use tools, applications, devices, but also, like the students, we must to learn digital skills that allow us to contribute to interactive and meaningful teaching for new and digitalized students.

IDEA

The research practice was carried out virtually at the open and distance national University, it was made up of two groups, with students who chose the basic level. Firstly, classes will be held so that students can clear their doubts and little by little improve their skills with the English language and feel more confident when practicing it.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, implementing this research proposal can be quite challenging for me; However, I am very convinced that this online practice is very interesting, because we can help improve the level of English in students who until now are starting their career as a professional to help them have more confidence in their speech.

RESULTS

The results I expected were very good and positive, because the students of each group participated in each class very frequently, they felt very confident when solving some activities in Educaplay and Kahoot, another thing that I liked, when they were asked about something about the topic seen, they responded correctly, in short, the students learned many things and saw the importance of learning English.

METHODOLOGY

The methodology used for this research practice was to create work plans and some activities on online platforms, so that there is greater comfort when the class is going to be taught.

FINDING

At first I had some doubts about implementing this research process, because some students did not feel comfortable participating due to their low level of English. I did notice that two members did not participate in some sessions, but their participation was not that bad. In short, when I asked some students, they delayed participating due to their low level, but I understood that until now they were beginning their process and as each session progressed, I took them little by little, until they gained more confidence and were already participating with more frequency.
