¿ QUE ES NITROGENOIDES ?
El grupo de los nitrogenoideos es el
grupo 15 (también llamado VA), cuyos
elementos tienen como capa de
valencia de configuración electrónica
la terminación p3. Está compuesto
por el Nitrógeno, el Fósforo, el Arsénico,
el Antimonio y el Bismuto (N, P, As, Sb, Bi).

Podemos ver que los nitrogenoideos tiene propiedades muy distintas entre sí porque el nitrógeno y el fósforo son no metales, el arsénico y el antimonio son semimetales y el bismuto es un no metal. Debido a que esta familia se encuentra en la “escalera” de la tabla periódica.

Se utiliza para endurecer el plomo y para el vidrio para eliminar la impureza verde que produce el hierro. Se usaba como fármaco antes del descubrimiento de la penicilina.
Sus principales usos es la
fabricación de fertilizantes y para adornar platos de comida. En estado líquido es utilizado en la investigación para reducir temperaturas.
