Máquina de escrever

A máquina de escrever surge como primeira tentativa, em 1714 com o engenheiro inglês Henry Mill. Em 1861 surge um novo modelo, mais rápido e funcional, atribuído ao padre brasileiro Francisco João de Azevedo. No entanto, só em 1868 esta máquina foi patenteada pelo tipógrafo americano Christopher Sholes

Telefone

Uma invenção que inovou todas as áreas aconteceu na década de 1870, o primeiro aparelho de telefone. O grande responsável por isso foi o inventor escocês Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922). O primeiro registro de transmissão elétrica de voz feito por Granham Bell aconteceu no dia 10 de março de 1876.

Televisão

A criação da televisão remete às pesquisas realizadas por John L. Baird, que em 1920 uniu componentes eletrônicos que haviam acabado de ser produzidos em várias partes do mundo e montou o primeiro protótipo de televisão. Uma reprodução satisfatória de imagens aconteceu apenas 5 anos depois.

Computador

No ano de 1946, ocorreu uma revolução na computação com o lançamento do computador ENIAC (Electrical Numerical Integrator and Calculator), desenvolvido pelos cientistas norte-americanos John Eckert e John Mauchly. Esta máquina era em torno de mil vezes mais rápida que qualquer outra que existia na época.

Internet

A Internet surgiu nos anos 60, na época da Guerra Fria, nos EUA. A intenção era descentralizar informações valiosas evitando que fossem destruídas por bombardeios se estivessem localizadas em um único servidor. A Internet difere-se dos outros meios, pois não é meramente passiva, através dela é possível haver interações entre os usuários.
