The very first fully animated film
Back
According to my research by multiple sources Fantasmagorie was the very first fully animated film. it was made made in 1908 by Emile Cole. according to HowStuffWorks.com there were a couple of animations made before then, but they arent considered fully realized films. Emile Cole joined Gaumont Film as a writer. Inspired by Blacktons animation "Humerous Phases of Funny Faces" he began working on his animated movie. He made a story of a charactor called Fantoche and was a unique style of animation with charactors morphing in and out of one other. It wasn't made on a chalk board but was actually line drawing printed in negative.
