Animals are living things that can move around and need to eat other living things. Animals are adapted to the environment that they live in. They have many different characteristics. According to what they eat: they can be scavengers (carnivores that only eat dead animals) also, they can be classify into predators and preys:

Plants are living things and perform the 3 life processes of nutrition, interaction and reproduction. A big difference between plants and animals is that plants make their own food through photosynthesis.
