Miami Faces ClimatE Change
Miami faces increased flooding
It is important to support laws that address the main causes of climate change. Supporting laws that protect wildlife and the environment is also essential.
Impacts
Where Else is this Happening?
Miami Underwater
Wildlife is threatened as habitats are destroyed
Expensive property continues to be sold
There is no long-term plan to address this threat
Higher temperatures means daily life is becoming more uncomfortable
Climate change ultimately poses a "threat to the state's economy," (Gallagher & Cattelino, 2020).
Louisiana faces threats very similar to the ones Miami faces.
Flooding puts life at risk
Destruction of homes and property from storms
Increased flooding destroys wetlands, which causes more severe flooding
Both wildlife and residents are in danger.
The low elevations of both makes climate change a severe issue.
