wORK OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Basic physical abilities

Basical phYsical ABILITIES

WHAT ARE THEY?

Basic physical abilities are those abilities that can be measured and can be easily improved with training. There are four: strength, speed, flexibility and resistance.

Examples about bpa

  • Last year in physical education class we practiced with elastic bands to improve our strength in certain muscles, especially the biceps and triceps.
  • To improve our resistance, the clearest example is the main minutes of physical education class in which the teacher makes us run so that later in the coopeer test we can see our progress and our endurance.
  • Last year in physical education class we improved our speed by doing sprints.
  • To improve our flexibility I do daily stretches to improve little by little, although it can also be achieved by joining gymnastics clubs or other sports.

EXAMPLES IN OUR CLASSES

Other exaples about our class:
  • In the cooper test, we tested our endurance and a bit of speed when doing sprints.
  • Also in the flexibility test, when we had to push an eraser without bending our knees we improved our flexibility.
  • Another time it would be when we were practicing volleyball we had to practice our flexibility to be able to bend down by doing a very low forearm touch.

Can the bpa work alone?

my opinion:
  • In my opinion, BPA can work alone, for example; People who practice bodybuilding practice exercises that improve their strength, another example would be a gymnast or a person who practices yoga who practices to improve their flexibility. The problem that I see with this is that, for example, the bodybuilder completely lacks flexibility and, for example, cannot touch his feet or do other movements, therefore the excess muscles reduce his mobility capacity. And in the case of a person who practices yoga or gymnastics, just practicing that sport may not have good resistance in a race or good speed. So in my opinion it is good to enjoy a sport that we like but also reinforce the other disciplines and maintain a balance between them.
