What are Sweatshops?
Who is affected?
Child labor is especially common in agriculture (98 million, or 59% of child laborers work in agriculture), followed by services (54 million) and industry (12 million). In developing countries, an estimated 168 million children ages 5 to 14 are forced to work.
Sweatshops often have poor working conditions, unfair wages, unreasonable hours, child labor, and a lack of benefits for workers. Take a stand and protest: Ask your school to make its apparel under fair conditions.
Should we keep buying fast fashion or discard it?
I wish I could say we should stop buying it but a lot of these brands are affordable for people. Since more than 75% of the world wears or owns parts of fast fashion brands, we won't be able to simply discard them but instead buy less of the brand.

What are the causes of fast fashion?
Fast fashion has an enormous environmental footprint for both its production and disposal. Clothing production requires a considerable amount of energy and resources, while it depends on toxic fabric dyes and other chemicals that contaminate fresh water. Fashion produces a tenth of the world's carbon emissions.
