SIDNEY AUSTRALIA
In Australia Christmas are celebrated the same as in the UK, as they have close cultural ties. Nevertheless, in Australia is summer and they spend time at the beach with family and friends. Although it’s summer they decorate their houses and streets the same as in the UK. Traditionally they eat roast turkey, kangaroo meat, pavlova cake etc. for dessert Ginger pudding is typical.

Christmas in New Zealand is very different because it coincides with the summer vacations. They have a tradition of celebrating Christmas with the family on the beaches. Christmas trees are different. They are called Pohutukawa. One of the most popular streets to see the houses decorated with Christmas lights is Franklin Street in downtown Auckland. The food typical is sliced ham and for dessert, raisin pudding/cake with fruit . Cathedrals, especially in Auckland and churches have a lot of people on this Christmas Day

They celebrate processions and they dress special.Also, they build a monument every year, a special Gävle goat on the castle square, it 13 meters high and it wighed 3 tons. The tradicional food is the Jansons Frestelse or the Köttbullar.

. In Mexico Christmas is celebrated with family and friends. The most traditional activity is piñata, representing the deadly sins, is a colorful symbol of the fight against temptation. Although, Christmas Eve,marked by the "Posada" tradition followed by a festive dinner. For Childrens, they receive gifts on January 6 during Epiphany.In this country religion is very important for everybody, and that's why they like Christmas so much. Finally, they celebrate this special date by eating traditional food like turkey, tamales, menudo, pozole, and dessert churros,while drinking ponchel, pozol, and atole are enjoyed.
COLOMBIA
The first date of celebration that we have in December is "El dia de las velitas" which is celebrated on December 6 and 7, all families meet to light candles inside lanterns to ask for blessings for their home from the Virgin Mary for them.
People in Colombia during Christmas are only sharing food and gifts with their families the night of December 24th until the next morning of the 25th.
JAPAN
The holiday season in Japan seems to be celebrated the exact opposite way as it is in western countries. In Japan, Christmas is the time for friends and couples to have parties, make plans to meet up for dinner and celebrate as much as they can. And New Year is the time of the year when all members of the family come together, visit the temple, and usher-in January 1st, with food and drinks One fun fact about the holiday season in Japan is that Christmas Eve (December 24) is the most romantic day of the year. It’s the Japanese version of Valentine’s Day.
