Physical description

Gray wolves have gray,white and black fur, they have long legs and a bushy tail. The paw print is like the paw print of the dog. They can run at maximum at 60 km/h when they pursue a prey. A adult and male wolf whil be 2 meters long. Baby wolves weight 500 g at the birth, they are deaf and blind.

Wolves behavior

Wolves are very intelligent, they live in groups of 6 or 20 wolves. They have a hierarchical structure that is very brandy. They live 6 or 8 years old, wolves are very territorial and agressive with other groups. Especially when there are babies in the group.

Natural habitat

Gray wolves live in North America, Europe and Asia. In tempered forests, mountains,grasslands and deserts. Thay are carnivores so they live in places where they have to eat, like deers, bisons and moose. They can also survive in meadows or snowy mountains.

Why are they in danger?

Grey wolves are still under constant threat from hunting and habitat loss.However, the gray wolf is threatened by human competition for some of the animal species on which it depends for food. The wolf's habitat has become too narrow and inhospitable for wolf packs.
