José Luis Caramé Soto, Spain, GUARDIA CIVIL Expert trainer in combatting Child Sexual Exploitation
International training in the area of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) is crucial for law enforcement officials due to several key reasons, emphasizing the global nature of these crimes and the need for collaborative efforts. The adage "It takes a network to defeat a network" underscores the interconnected and transnational nature of child exploitation networks, especially facilitated by the global reach of the Internet.International training provides a platform for law enforcement officials to establish professional networks with colleagues from different countries and agencies. These connections are invaluable for exchanging information, seeking assistance in cross-border investigations, and fostering a sense of collective responsibility in tackling CSE. Networking enhances communication channels, making it easier for law enforcement agencies to coordinate efforts when addressing cases that span multiple jurisdictions.
