1. History
Egypt is one of the oldest places of human settlement. The Egyptian civilization developed along the banks of the Nile River, known for its prosperous agriculture and great pyramids. The Pharaonic phase saw the reign of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramesses II, and Cleopatra.
After that in 30 BC. it became a Roman province under the control of Alexander the Great. In 1517 it was conquered by the Ottomans and remained under their control, becoming a British column until the 20th century.
Finally, in 1952, with a coup d'état, the monarchy ended and a republic was established.
2. Geography
Egypt is a country located mainly in northeast Africa, with a small part of its territory extending into the southwest part of Asia. It has a long coastline along the Mediterranean Sea to the north and borders Israel to the east and the Gaza Strip, to the south with Sudan and to the west with Libya.
The Nile River is Egypt's dominant geographic feature. It is one of the longest rivers in the world and plays a fundamental role in the life of the country. Most of Egypt's territory is occupied by the Sahara Desert, one of the largest desert regions in the world. Most of the population and agricultural activities are concentrated in the narrow strip of land along the Nile, where the soil is most fertile.
3. Governament
Egypt is a republic, with a semi-presidential system of government, established after the 2011 Egyptian revolution and the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak. In 2014, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi was elected president and continued to hold this position.

4. Flag
The flag of Egypt consists of three horizontal stripes of equal width. The top one is red and the bottom one is black, and the middle stripe is white. In the center of the white stripe, there is the national emblem of Egypt, which features an eagle, a symbol of the country, with a shield on its chest. The shield contains the image of a golden eagle and a scroll bearing the Arabic words for the Egyptian Arab Republic: "جمهورية مصر العربية" (Jumhūriyyat Mişr al-‘Arabiyyah).
5. Dances
Belly Dance
The most well-known Egyptian dance style internationally, belly dance involves intricate hip and torso movements. It's characterized by isolations of different parts of the body, shimmies, and fluid arm movements. Belly dance is often performed at social events, celebrations, and weddings.
5. Dances
Saidi Dance
Originating from Upper Egypt (Sa'id), Saidi dance is a lively and energetic folk dance. It often incorporates the use of a stick, known as an "assaya," and is characterized by foot stomping, quick turns, and lively music.

Tanoura Dance
This is a Sufi-inspired dance where the dancer, usually a man, wears a colorful skirt and spins in a circular motion, symbolizing the rotation of the planets. The spinning is often accompanied by trance-inducing music.
