Average Temperatures
Both daily maximum and minimum temperatures indicate a steady upward trend over the past century. Additionally, total rainfall has aslo exhibited a substantial increase annually.Notably, extreme rainfall events, often attributed to typhoons interacting with the summer monsoon flow have significantly impacted Metro Manila, contributing to increase in property damage and loss of life (Bagtasa).

Surviving the Surge: Manila's Resilience in the Face of Climate Change
Habagat - Amihan
Refers to the monsoons in the Philippines. Climate change affects the monsoon patterns by intensifying rainfall, altering seasonal timing and duration, raising sea levels, and causing erratic weather conditions. These changes heighten the risks of flooding, landslides, coastal inundation, and "vector-borne and heat-related diseases" (Chua).
2023 - ???
Above are some projections of what sea level rise would do the the immediate area around Manila ranging from moderate to extreme. Although the most extreme examples are not likely in the next 100 - 150 years, it is possible by the end of the century that Manila and other coastal cities will be facing a 1 - 6+ foot increase from current levels according to NOAA Climate.gov.
