Learning how to format in MLA is crucial for the success of students during their education and in the occupations following. Created by the Modern Language Association, the format MLA was created for those in the field of literature to uniformly format their work. This allows for quick referencing and an easy read.

When citing information in text, you only need to include the authors name once. You can do this at the beginning of the sentence or in the citation at the end
When quoting information, do not include the period. Only one period should be in the sentence, that is at the end and after the parentheses.
