Sudan is one of the most rapidly warming countries in the world. They are increasing temparatures at about 2 and a half times faster than the rest of the world. The two largest effects Sudan is experiencing are floods and droughts similar to Shanghai.

Increase the amount of non-fossil energy consumption to 20%. (Ji)

A part of China's NDC, China has to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 60-65% per GDP unit from the 2005 level. (Ji)

"increase the forest stock volume by around 4·5 billion m3 versus the 2005 level." (Ji)

The increase in temperatures in Shanghai is affecting the crops in Shanghai dramatically. The change in temperatures is affecting both the rotations and intensity of the crop system in the city. These changes in temperatures is also leading to droughts reducing the amount of crops being produced. (Tian, Z., Yang, X., Sun, L., Fischer, G., Liang, Z., & Pan, J.)

Sea levels are predicted to rise by 136 cm in the city by the end of the century. Sea levels rising dramatically can lead to catastrophic effects. For example, the failure of dikes or intense flooding.

The intense droughts in Sudan, are leading to the decrease in crop yield. Due to Sudan being a leading producer in many crops, this can lead to multiple detriments for the rest of the world.

All of the surrounding countries around Sudan are experiencing floods as well due to the lack of precautions being put in place in Sudan. They are witnessing the destruction of homes, business, and schools.
