Some Tips and Tricks For Working With Soft Pastels
They are messy!! have a paper towel handy to wipe your fingers off. You will use it a lot!
Make sure youare using a clean finger to blend in the colors - see above tip! (Don't blend the blue shade then use the same finger to blend the yellow highlight)
If you don't want to use your fingers to blend then use a paper towel but make sure you use a clean area when blending each color.
try not to touch or lean on your paper as much as possible. you will transfer pastels all over your paper.
If you have a lot of pastel chalk on your paper, do not blow on it or shake it on the floor - use the trash can on the desk to gently shake it off.
