Federal law vs state law

For a law to be federal : first, it is a bill once voted by the US congress and signed by the POTUS , it becomes a federal law.
A state law is voted in a State Assembly (or state legislature) and signed by the governor of the state.
When a state law is in direct conflict with federal laws, the federal law prevails.No state laws can abolish or reduce ther rights afforded by the US Constituion
A state law can afford more rights to its residents than a federal law. examples

What is it ?
In 2022 the SC voted to overturn the Roe vs Wade Case, 1973 . This case was a landmark SC decision : at that time, the SC had ruled that the Constitution of the US generally protected the right to have an abortion ( even if it wasn't written in the Constitution . It thus guaranteed federal constitutional protection of abortion rights and it ensured that states could not ban abortion. By overruling the Roe case, in 2022, the SC allowed each state to decide.
