Abstract
WORK EVOLUTION
Through our presentation you can understand how the work has evolved over the history, the term "work evolution" refers to the evolution or change of work-related concept, practices and dynamics over time; this concept can be explored from many different points of view and we chose to analyse it starting from the industrial revolution and ending with the present day. During the industrial revolution automation has been implemented in sectors ranging from industrial production to logistics, reducing dependence on manual labour and increasing efficiency. Subsequently, the constant evolution of technology led to the invention of the internet and social media, tools that have enabled the creation of new career paths such as the "influencer" which relies on online content creation and the ability to build and engage a significant following through platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. The observation of the older generation regarding these new types of jobs reveals a significant generational gap in traditional concepts of work; indeed, for much of the older generation, the concept of work is closely linked to physical exertion and tangible production, but influencers and other new forms of employment challenge this paradigm.
