Is the elbow a bone?
11
The elbow is not a bone; it is a hinged joint. When you bang your elbow, you stimulate the ulnar nerve. This nerve, which is very sensitive, sends pain signals to your parietal lobes. The elbow is called the funny bone because when you bang it, you will often laugh to keep yourself from crying.
