Esiste una "sintonia" tra la struttura della natura e la nostra mente
«Lei trova strano che io consideri la comprensibilità della natura (per quanto siamo autorizzati a parlare di comprensibilità),come un miracolo o un eterno mistero. Ebbene, ciò che ci dovremmo aspettare, a priori, è proprio un mondo caotico del tutto inaccessibile al pensiero. Ci si potrebbe (di più, ci si dovrebbe) aspettare che il mondo sia governato da leggi soltanto nella misura in cui interveniamo con la nostra intelligenza ordinatrice: sarebbe un ordine simile a quello alfabetico, del dizionario, laddove il tipo d’ordine creato ad esempio dalla teoria della gravitazione di Newton ha tutt’altro carattere. Anche se gli assiomi della teoria sono imposti dall'uomo, il successo di una tale costruzione presuppone un alto grado d’ordine del mondo oggettivo, e cioè un qualcosa che, a priori, non si è per nulla autorizzati ad attendersi. È questo il “miracolo” che vieppiù si rafforza con lo sviluppo delle nostre conoscenze. È qui che si trova il punto debole dei positivisti e degli atei di professione, felici solo perché hanno la coscienza di avere, con pieno successo, spogliato il mondo non solo degli dèi, ma anche dei miracoli».

IL RAPPORTO FRA SCIENZE NATURALIE VISIONE RELIGIOSA DEL MONDO
Il termine religione può assumere significati diversi; in alcuni casi specifici, tuttavia, sono il cristianesimo
e la teologia cattolica, in particolare la fede in un Creatore, ad essere chiamati in causa, suscitando
interrogativi su come tale fede possa comporsi con la nostra immagine del mondo e della storia dell’uomo.
I risultati delle scienze e le loro applicazioni pragmatiche esercitano oggi un notevole fascino e il metodo
scientifico viene compreso da molti come l’unico metodo/criterio valido per conoscere l’intera realtà. Di
fatto, il pensiero scientifico ha “modellato” la razionalità e il modo di pensare del nostro tempo, e dunque
anche l’approccio dell’uomo comune al tema della religione. Come si collocano, in questa mutata
prospettiva, gli insegnamenti della fede cristiana?

Il debate: un metodo per educare al dialogo tra scienza e fede nelle scuole
secondarie di primo grado
Un torneo di debate a tema scienza e fede coinvolgendo i ragazzi della scuola secondaria di primo
grado, supponendo che ci siano al centro del torneo quattro diverse classi.
Dopo aver esposto le motivazioni legate alla volontà di far crescere nei ragazzi spirito critico, di
collaborazione e esposizione, verranno elencate nello specifico tutte le fasi del lavoro nel paragrafo
dedicato al piano delle attività, descrivendo come si intenda coinvolgere i discenti e i docenti dei vari
consigli di classe, fino alle indicazioni specifiche su come svolgere le varie fasi del torneo.
I ragazzi che avranno un ruolo di rilievo, che siano speakers o explainers, approfondiranno le varie
tematiche mediante l’ausilio di Disf.org.educational.

Esiste una "sintonia" tra la struttura della natura e la nostra mente
«Lei trova strano che io consideri la comprensibilità della natura (per quanto siamo autorizzati a parlare di comprensibilità),come un miracolo o un eterno mistero. Ebbene, ciò che ci dovremmo aspettare, a priori, è proprio un mondo caotico del tutto inaccessibile al pensiero. Ci si potrebbe (di più, ci si dovrebbe) aspettare che il mondo sia governato da leggi soltanto nella misura in cui interveniamo con la nostra intelligenza ordinatrice: sarebbe un ordine simile a quello alfabetico, del dizionario, laddove il tipo d’ordine creato ad esempio dalla teoria della gravitazione di Newton ha tutt’altro carattere. Anche se gli assiomi della teoria sono imposti dall'uomo, il successo di una tale costruzione presuppone un alto grado d’ordine del mondo oggettivo, e cioè un qualcosa che, a priori, non si è per nulla autorizzati ad attendersi. È questo il “miracolo” che vieppiù si rafforza con lo sviluppo delle nostre conoscenze. È qui che si trova il punto debole dei positivisti e degli atei di professione, felici solo perché hanno la coscienza di avere, con pieno successo, spogliato il mondo non solo degli dèi, ma anche dei miracoli».

IL RAPPORTO FRA SCIENZE NATURALIE VISIONE RELIGIOSA DEL MONDO
Il termine religione può assumere significati diversi; in alcuni casi specifici, tuttavia, sono il cristianesimo e la teologia cattolica, in particolare la fede in un Creatore, ad essere chiamati in causa, suscitando interrogativi su come tale fede possa comporsi con la nostra immagine del mondo e della storia dell’uomo.
I risultati delle scienze e le loro applicazioni pragmatiche esercitano oggi un notevole fascino e il metodo scientifico viene compreso da molti come l’unico metodo/criterio valido per conoscere l’intera realtà. Di fatto, il pensiero scientifico ha “modellato” la razionalità e il modo di pensare del nostro tempo, e dunque anche l’approccio dell’uomo comune al tema della religione.
