Milan
Milan is the capital of the Lombardy region and of the metropolitan city of the same name, it is the center of one of the most populous metropolitan areas in Europe, it is also the second most populous municipality in Italy (after Rome) and is among the twenty largest cities in the whole of Europe.
The main square of Milan. Dominated by the Duomo of Milan, hence the name, it is the vital center of the city, a meeting point for the Milanese to celebrate important events and, together with the adjacent Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
Venice
The city was for 1100 years the capital of the Serenissima Republic of Venice and is known in this regard as the Serenissima, the Dominante and the Queen of the Adriatic: for its urban peculiarities and for its artistic heritage, it is universally considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, declared, together with its lagoon, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Rialto is the oldest of the four bridges on the Grand Canal. It is famous for both its architecture and its history. For years it was the fulcrum of Venice's economy.
Rome
Rome, the capital of Italy, is a large cosmopolitan city with an artistic, architectural, and cultural history that has influenced the entire world and dates back almost 3000 years. Ancient ruins such as the Forum and the Colosseum bear witness to the might of the ancient Roman Empire. In Vatican City, the seat of the Catholic Church, you will find St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums, which house masterpieces such as the Sistine Chapel frescoed by Michelangelo
Sicily
Catania
Mount Etna is located on the east coast of Sicily and is the highest active volcano in Europe, one of the most active in the world. Its size makes it the most impressive terrestrial volcano in Europe and the entire Mediterranean area. Mount Etna is also one of the most studied and monitored volcanoes in the world and is of global scientific and cultural importance for volcanology, geophysics and other earth science disciplines. According to the myth, the activity of ash and lava eruptions of the volcano would be the fiery 'breath' of the giant Enceladus, defeated by Athena and trapped for eternity in an underground prison under Mount Etna, and the earthquakes would be caused by his tossing and turning in chains.
Agrigento
The Valley of the Temples is an archaeological park in Sicily characterized by an exceptional state of preservation and a series of important Doric temples from the Hellenic period. It corresponds to the ancient Akragas, the monumental original nucleus of the city of Agrigento. Since 2000 it has been a regional archaeological park.
La Scala del Turchi consists of a sedimentary rock of calcareous and clayey nature, marl, white color. This breathtaking cliff rises among small beaches of golden sand, from the top of its summit the view is beautiful embracing the entire coast of Agrigento.
Palermo
Quattro Canti, or Teatro del Sole, is the name of an octagonal square at the intersection of the two main roads of Palermo: Via Maqueda and Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The four saints of Palermo, Agata, Ninfa, Oliva and Cristina, patron saints of the city even before the advent of Santa Rosalia.
Palermo Cathedral was built on the site of an ancient Byzantine basilica, which became a mosque in the ninth century when the Saracens conquered the city. It houses the tomb of Emperor Frederick II, King Roger II, and Santa Rosalia, patron saint of Palermo.
Palermo
Palermo's markets are a true city institution, places where tradition remains alive but at the same time where the city evolves in step with the times. Very important is Palermo's street food, considered one of the tastiest in Italy. Street food is an inexpensive way to sample local delicacies, such as traditional flatbreads with meusa or panelle
Teatro Massimo is the largest opera house in Italy, and one of the largest in Europe, third in architectural size after the Opéra National in Paris and the Staatsoper in ViennaThe theater was completed in more than twenty years, from 1875 to 1897; When the designer died in 1891, the work was completed by his son Ernesto Basile, who was responsible for the external definition and direction of the internal finishing works.

Misilmeri
The Emir Giafar II who ruled Sicily from 996 to 1018 arrived in Misilmeri and had a large castle/fortress built where from the top of the towers a splendid landscape could be admired: from the valley of the Eleutherian River to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Later, a village was formed on the slopes of the castle, giving rise to the name Misilmeri, which derives from the Arabic Menzel-el-Emir and means precisely village of the Emir. The Misilmeri of today was founded in 1540 by Baron Francesco Del Bosco, which transformed the village into a building site; in 1553 he built the new parish of St. John the Baptist, the Madrice; in 1575 he opened the access road to the castle, the "Strada Grande"
Misilmeri
The " Fontana Grande " that we see today is the fountain that in 1879, the sculptor Benedetto Civiletti restored by replacing the 13 iron cannoli with 13 lion mouths of white Carrara marble. He also created niches on either side with two statues of bathing nymphs resting on dolphins from whose mouths water comes out and is collected in a first basin made of Billiemi stone, from two cannoli comes out and collects in another larger basin also made of Billiemi. The eighteenth-century development of the town of Misilmeri, which stretched south along the ancient Roman road that led from Palermo to Girgenti, entailed in 1772 the "ennobling" of the place recalled in the revelations as the "plan of the forks," which took place with the construction of a fountain with Baroque forms, the so-called "new fountain" whose name ended up identifying the same basin of the square.

Our School Cosmo Guastella
The school is dedicated to the philosopher Cosmo Guastella (Misilmeri, 1 March 1854 – Palermo, 11 November 1922). It was founded in the early sixties, following Law no. 1859, which came into force on 31/12/1962, which established the unified middle school in Italy. The head office is located in Misilmeri (Palermo) in Via Ettore Majorana (formerly Via C/19), in the Contrada Gabatutti. Because of its vast territorial extension, it is made up of several schools:Plesso C. Guastella/Sede Centrale – Plesso Padre Giuseppe Puglisi – Plesso Don Carlo Lauri – Plesso Portella di Mare located in a detached hamlet, dependent from an administrative point of view on Misilmeri, but geographically united to Villabate.
Job Shadowing February 2023
The unit (UDA) ACCOLGO SENSIbilmente took place in February 2023 in the frame of the Job shadowing reception activities of the Spanish delegation Erasmus Project called "Innovando hacia el exito: actividades inclusivas internacionales". The students captured the interest of the training teachers, carring out various tasks concerning recreational-motor activities, aimed at sensory awareness. The students of the second class A, with the help of their own powerpoints, showed some of the artistic beauties of the territory emphasizing the existing link between Spaniards and Sicilians from an artistic, cultural, linguistic and historical point of view.
Job Shadowing February 2023
The sensory game took place in the gym and during this activity several teams of Spanish and Italian school students were called to face simple motor tests in order to sensorially recognize objects, sounds, smells and tastes. Thanks to the collaborative approach the students have found out that working together obstacles can be overcome and better results can be achieved. The second and third classes N with the "Lauri Street Band" entertained and involved the Erasmus group in a recycling workshop for the construction and use of percussion instruments. In the library, the Erasmus group was involved in creative writing, putting their “amanuensis” skills to the test. There were great participation and interest from all the participants. The use of effective communication for the performance of the various activities has facilitated the knowledge of the displayed contents; the cooperative learning, the team spirit and the inclusive approach made the activities fun and motivating for everyone.
