INTRODUCTION

#0120

HER CHILDHOOD

She’s recognized for her songwriting, musical versatility, artistic reinventions, and influence on the music industry

How did it all start?

Swift began professional songwriting at age 14 and signed with Big Machine Records in 2005 to become a country singer. Under Big Machine, she released six studio albums, four of them to country radio, starting with her self-titled album in 2006.

Taylor was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania. When she was 13, her parents sold their family farm and moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee, so she could pursue a career in country music in nearby Nashville.

Musically, the album is styled to blend country music and pop music and lyrically, it speaks of romantic relationships, a couple of which she wrote from observing relationships before being in one. FEARLESS

This is the MOST Premiated Country Album of the History

Fearless is the second Taylor Swift’s studio album, it was released first in the U.S and Canada, in November 2008 and then elsewhere in march 2009 This album was written by Taylor while she was promoting her debut album. Inspired by Swift's teenage feelings, the lyrics explore themes of romance, heartache, and aspirations. The album's title refers to the overarching theme of all of its tracks, as they altogether depict Swift's courage to embrace the challenges of love.

THE VMAS: KANYE APPEARENCE

During the MTV speech Video Awards Taylor was interrupted by an artist named Kanye West, who she liked pretty much, he basically said that Taylor didn’t deserve the award as Beyonce and that made Taylor feel very bad

“At the time, I didn’t know they were booing him doing that. I thought they were booing me,” the songstress shared. “For someone who’s built their whole belief system on getting people to clap for you, the whole crowd booing is a pretty formative experience. That was sort of a catalyst for a lot of psychological paths that I went down. And not all of them were beneficial. It was all fueled by not feeling like I belonged there. - Taylor Swift

SPEAK NOW

Taylor's first Time in Italy!

Speak Now is the third studio album by Taylor Swift. It was released on October 25, 2010, through Big Machine Records. The Production for the album took place during 2008 to 2010 at several recording studios, and was handled by Swift and Nathan Chapman. This is the first album written entirely by Swift; Speak Now blends the country-pop of her early work with a big pop-rock production style and features lyrical themes concerning love, romance and heartbreak. Taylor promoted the album with an international Tour, Speak Now World Tour, which was the first time she came to Italy.

RED

the Colour of Love

RED, is Taylor's fourth album, she named it after that:

“All the different emotions that are written about on this album are all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. All those emotions — spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that — in my mind, all those emotions are red. You know, there’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings.”

FILM

ALL TOO WELL (10 MV) (TV)

A DIFFICULT PERIOD

the curse of 1989 era

1989 was a very difficult era for taylor. She was having a lot if success, but she was also struggling a lot. Years later, in her famous documentary “Miss Americana”, she talked about the fact that she had an eating disorder, mostly caused by a lot of haters who used to bodyshaming her. She talked about how she felt like fainting after all the shows and how tough it was to live with an ed just to fit into the standard of society.

But that’s not everything, because during that era she also had another discussion with Kanye West, and his now ex wife Kim Kardashian. They made up that in a call Kanye had with Taylor, she said that she was okay with Kanye calling her “b*tch” inhis song “Famous“ Taylor clearly wasn’t okay with that but people decided to stood by Kanyes side, so Swift was hated by literally everyone. This made her delete all her social media.

AND THENSHE DISAPPEARS FOR AN INTIRE YEAR

there will be no explanation there will just be reputation

REPUTATION

THE OLD TAYLOR IS DEAD NOW

Swift admitted that this album was inspired by Game Of Thrones and Arya's Kill List

REPUTATION is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. Released on November 10, 2017, it was her last album with Big Machine Records. Secluding herself from public appearances, Swift conceived Reputation as a response to the media scrutiny after her previous album, 1989, propelled her toward pop stardom. Publicized celebrity disputes and romantic relationships inspired the songs, which are about anger, vengeance, and ultimately finding solace in love.

Photographed by Mert and Marcus, the cover is a black-and-white photograph of an expressionless Swift in slicked-back hair, a loose-fitting grey sweatshirt with a zig-zag stitch on the right shoulder, and a choker necklace.

TAYLOR AND KANYE CALL

What Happened At The Time

As we said before Taylor decided to delete social media after being victim of hate from everyone who believed in Kanye without hearing her version of the story. Kanye, with his now ex-wife Kim Kardashian, made up that in a call Taylor said it was okay for her Kanye calling her a "b*tch" in the single he was about to release "Famous", in which he talks about her saying that she owns him s*x and he made her ''Famous''. Years later the full call was leaked and he never asked her about calling her that.

That's why she's re-recording her six old albums This whole album was made with the intention of being the complete opposite vibe of reputation, since she considered it to be the “rainbow after the storm”. She wrote mostly of the songs from lover about her ex boyfriend Joe Alwyn her now ex-boyfriend, they’ve recently just broke up for some unknown reasons.

Swift conceived Lover as a "love letter to love", taking inspiration from her recalibrated personal life and newfound artistic freedom.

FOLKLORE

Folklore is the eighth studio album by American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift, released on July 24, 2020, through Republic Records. Folklore was contextualized as a lockdown project instantly upon release, and earned a reputation as the archetypal quarantine album. The music changes a lot compared to her old ones, since it is more calm qnd instrumental. Taylor with this album writes different kind of stories, every song is a story with a starting and a ending, the stories are impersonal, which is the lyrical difference from the other albums. The music and stories are inspired by folksong escaping. It is an indie folk.

Folklore Forest is on the banks of Little River atop Lookout Mountain on the out skirts of downtown Mentone, Alabama.

FOLKLORE LONG POND STUDIO SESSIONS

Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions is a 2020 American documentary concert film directed and produced by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released on Disney+ on November 25, 2020. The documentary is set at Long Pond Studio, an isolated recording studio in a forested area in Hudson Valley.

Taylor Swift performs every song from her best-selling album, "Folklore", in a truly intimate concert experience. Taylor filmed live performances, in between she and her collaborators discuss the creation and meaning behind each song, and also share the challenges and joys of remotely producing this acclaimed and record-setting collection"

The Story Triangle:

As a storyteller she tells a story about a love triangle between three teenagers, each one of them with different feelings and emotions, delusions. She does that with three different songs on the album.

-August is sung from the point of view of Augustine, James’ summer fling. She reminisces about her time with James and the romantic feelings she develops for him over the summer. Although she has such strong feelings for him, she recognizes that they were never in a serious relationship. “August slipped away into a moment in time because you were never mine.

-Cardigan is sung from the point of view of Betty. She is left heartbroken after she finds out that her boyfriend (James) left her and has been seeing another girl. “Chase two girls, lose the one” -Betty is sung from the point of view of James. He sings to Betty, asking for her forgiveness for essentially cheating on her with Augustine. He tells her that he’s sorry and that he missed her all summer long. After being away from her, he knows that she’s the one for him.

“In the garden would you trust me if I told you it was just a summer thing?I’m only seventeen. I don’t know anything, but I know I miss you.”

EVERMORE

FOLKLORE SISTER ALBUM

Evermore is the ninth studio album by American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift, released on December 11, 2020, through Republic Records. Taylor typed a message out during the pre-premiere chat for the "willow" music video that she wanted evermore to have a fall and winter feel, opposed to folklore having a spring and summer feel. Folklore and evermore are considerated sister albums, they were both pubblicated during the pandemic, in fact evermore was published after just 5 months without prevention, and folklore and evermore are both a poetic storytelling. Like his sister album, he is also an indie folk

Taylor tells the tumultuous story of Emily and Sue to listeners through her references to Dickinson's language. She gets the name of her album and the song “evermore” from “One Sister have I in our house —,” which ends with the line, “Sue, forevermore!” This concept of eternity is present throughout Taylor's album.

The Eras Tour is the ongoing sixth concert tour by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who described it as a journey through all of her musical "eras".An homage to her albums, the Eras Tour is her most expansive tour yet, with 151 shows across five continents. As of August 2023, it is the highest-grossing tour ever by a woman and second highest-grossing overall based on the first 56 North American shows alone. It commenced on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, United States, and is set to conclude on December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada. The show spans over 3.5 hours, with a set list of 44 songs divided into 10 distinct acts that portray the albums conceptually.

THE ERAS TOUR

Taylor Swift IS the Music Industry

The tour had a significant cultural, economic and political impact, evident in the form of unprecedented demand, ticket sales, venue attendance records, and technical obstacles that led to imposition of price regulation and anti-scalping laws The tour pushed Swift's net worth over US$1 billion, making her the first billionaire ever with music as the main source of income.

WHAT ABOUT THE FANS?

THE ERAS TOUR

This tour means a lot for her fans, since they haven’t had the occasion to see her for years and it’s always super exciting to experience her love for fans, in general her magical songs and also spending time with other people who loves her as much as we do.

Because of that fans started to take the tour very seriously, dressing up with amazing costumes inspired by her songs or eras ,for each album, and making friendship bracelets, that they trade during the concert with anyone! Including Swift's family members, security guards and other celebrities!!

The first and only Taylor’s concert in Italy was in march 15th 2011 in Milan during the Speak Now World Tour. Taylor neven came to italy again since then. But she decided to come back for the eras tour at the stadium San Siro in Milan after 13 years, which is also her lucky number. The tickets for the tour went sold out immediately so they had to add another date.

VAULT TRACK TRACK FIVE

The Vault Trackd are the songs she added to her re-recorded albums, the Taylor's Version ones. Those songs was written at the same as the album but at time she decided to not publish them

They usually turns out to be loved more that the ones she decided to put at first realese

“I didn’t realize I was doing this, but as I was making albums, I guess I was just kind of putting a very vulnerable, personal, honest, emotional song as track five. So because you noticed this, I kind of started to put the songs that were really honest, emotional, vulnerable, and personal as track five.”

WHAT'S GOING ON ?

It’s a love story that could actually be a Hollywood rom-com:The top American pop singer and the top American football player meet up, sparks fly, and they end up dating with the world watching.

After that she attended one of his football plays and then thay had been spotted going out for dinner together multiple times, holding hand and kissing. Taylor invited him to one of her shows where she changed one of her lyrics for him. During the same show he held a paper written “i will stay” during her performance for the archer when she sang “who could ever leave me darling and who could stay?”

Lagrari SaraLacasella Mariarosa

WOULD'VE, COULD'VE, SHOULD'VE

I would've stayed on my knees And I damn sure never would've danced with the devil At nineteen And the God's honest truth is that the pain was heaven And now that I'm grown, I'm scared of ghosts Memories feel like weapons And now that I know, I wish you'd left me wondering God rest my soul, I miss who I used to be The tomb won't close, stained glass windows in my mind I regret you all the time I can't let this go, I fight with you in my sleep The wound won't close, I keep on waiting for a sign If clarity's in death, then why won't this die? Years of tearing down our banners, you and I Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first

Swift builds on why she regrets the relationship now, and how it still haunts her to this day. Relying heavily on religious symbolism and terminology, she brings up her age at the time, 19, seemingly confirming that she is talking about Mayer.

Ooh, oh All I used to do was pray Would've, could've, should've If you'd never looked my way

I have this thing where I get older but just never wiser Midnights become my afternoonsWhen my depression works the graveyard shift All of the people I've ghosted stand there in the room I should not be left to my own devices They come with prices and vices I end up in crisis I wake up screaming from dreaming One day I'll watch as you're leaving 'Cause you got tired of my scheming Sometimes I feel like everybody is a sexy baby And I'm a monster on the hill Too big to hang out, slowly lurching toward your favorite city Pierced through the heart, but never killed Did you hear my covert narcissism I disguise as altruism Like some kind of congressman? I wake up screaming from dreaming One day I'll watch as you're leaving And life will lose all its meaning

ANTI-HERO

"I really don't think I've delved this far into my insecurities in this detail before," she said in the clip. "You know, I struggle a lot with the idea that my life has become unmanageably sized, and that I, you know … not to sound too dark, but, like, I struggle with the idea of not feeling like a person." She continues, "This song is a real guided tour throughout all the things that I tend to hate about myself. We all hate things about ourselves, and it's all of those aspects of the things we dislike and like about ourselves that we have to come to terms with if we're going to be this person. So, yeah, I like 'Anti-Hero' a lot because I think it's really honest."

It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me At tea time, everybody agrees I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror It must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero

BAD BLOOD

Now we got problems And I don't think we can solve 'em You made a really deep cut And baby, now we got bad blood (hey!) Did you have to do this? I was thinking that you could be trusted Did you have to ruin What was shining? Now it's all rusted Did you have to hit me Where I'm weak? Baby, I couldn't breathe And rub it in so deep Salt in the wound like you're laughing right at me Oh, it's so sad to think about the good times You and I 'Cause baby, now we got bad blood You know it used to be mad love So take a look what you've done 'Cause baby, now we got bad blood

In “Bad Blood,” Taylor tells the story of a female friend with whom she suffered a platonic break-up; Swift had told Rolling Stone that the unnamed subject of the song “basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour” in 2013. Some eagle-eyed commenters noted that Katy Perry had hired away some of Swift’s dancers for that tour. Now obviously they have resolved this discussion and Taylor and Katy are in good terms

Did you think we'd be fine? Still got scars on my back from your knife So don't think it's in the past These kind of wounds they last and they last Now did you think it all through? All these things will catch up to you And time can heal, but this won't So if you come in my way, just don't

TIED TOGETHER WITH A SMILE

Seems the only one who doesn't see your beauty Is the face in the mirror looking back at you You walk around here thinking you're not pretty But that's not true 'cause I know you Hold on, baby, you're losing it The water's high, you're jumping into it And letting go, and no one knows That you cry, but you don't tell anyone That you might not be the golden one And you're tied together with a smile But you're coming undone I guess it's true that love was all you wanted 'Cause you're givin' it away like it's extra change Hoping it will end up in his pocket But he leaves you out like a penny in the rain Oh, 'cause it's not his price to pay It's not his price to pay Hold on, baby, you're losing it The water's high, you're jumping into it And letting go, and no one knows That you cry, but you don't tell anyone That you might not be the golden one And you're tied together with a smile But you're coming undone

I wrote “Tied Together With A Smile” about one of my friends, who is this beauty queen, pageant princess — a gorgeous, popular girl in high school. Every guy wanted to be with her, every girl wanted to be her. I wrote that song the day I found out she WAS bulimic

RONAN: THE STORY BEHIND

I remember your blue eyes looking into mine Like we had our own secret club I remember you dancing before bedtime Then jumping on me, waking me up I can still feel you hold my hand, little man And even the moment I knew You fought it hard like an army guy Remember I leaned in and whispered to you? Come on, baby, with me We're gonna fly away from here You were my best four years

The song was written from the perspective of a grieving mother who lost her young son to cancer, inspired by the real-life story of Arizona native Maya Thompson and her son, Ronan, who passed away in 2011 just days before his fourth birthday.

What if I'm standing in your closet Trying to talk to you? And what if I kept the hand-me-downs You won't grow into? And what if I really thought some miracle Would see us through? What if the miracle was even getting One moment with you?

Maya refuses to stop fighting for all other children fighting cancer as she believes every child deserves a chance to grow up.She launches The Ronan Foundation, dedicated to funding clinical trials to create more effective treatments and ultimately to find a cure for childhood cancer.

All of Taylor's profits of the song went to cancer charities all of Maya's profits went to The Ronan Foundation. She titles the song simply: “Ronan.”

Hush I know they said the end is near But I'm still on my tallest tiptoes Spinning in my highest heels, love Shining just for you And they called off the circus Burned the disco down When they sent home the horses And the rodeo clowns I'm still on that tightrope I'm still trying everything to get you laughing at me I'm still a believer but I don't know why I've never been a natural All I do is try, try, try I'm still on that trapeze I'm still trying everything To keep you looking at me

MirrorBall

MirrorBall is a metaphore for fame, but it's also about how people feel like you have to be different versions of yourself around different people, being duplicitous. It can become exhausting, you learn that everyone has the ability to become shapeshifter.

I want you to know I'm a mirrorball I can change everything about me to fit in

“I saw a documentary about Joni Mitchell, and she said something really interesting. She said, ‘I’m a mirrorball. I just reflect back what you see in me’ ” Swift said. “I thought that was really beautiful and an interesting way to live your life.”

THE ARCHER

Combat, I'm ready for combat I say I don't want that, but what if I do? 'Cause cruelty wins in the movies I've got a hundred thrown-out speeches I almost said to you Easy they come, easy they go I jump from the train, I ride off alone I never grew up, it's getting so old Help me hold onto you Dark side, I search for your dark side But what if I'm alright, right, right, right here? And I cut off my nose just to spite my face Then I hate my reflection for years and years I wake in the night, I pace like a ghost The room is on fire, invisible smoke And all of my heroes die all alone All the king's horses, all the king's men Couldn't put me together again Cause all of my enemies started out friends Help me hold onto you

“The Archer” might seem like a poetic way to talk about a relationship, but in reality, it is much deeper than that. Taylor is talking about herself and her insecurities. She is unsure of what she wants and is afraid of losing the people she cares about In “The Archer,” she’s talking about how she’s fearful that she’s not good enough and is always ready for battle, but doesn’t want to fight. She’s tired of losing people and wants to find someone who will stay by her side.

I've been the archer I've been the prey Screaming, who could ever leave me, darling? But who could stay? 'Cause they see right through me They see right through me They see right through Can you see right through me? They see right through They see right through me I see right through me

I THINK I'M FINALLY CLEAN

The drought was the very worst When the flowers that we'd grown together died of thirst It was months and months of back and forth You're still all over me Like a wine-stained dress I can't wear anymore Hung my head as I lost the war And the sky turned black like a perfect storm Rain came pouring down When I was drowning, that's when I could finally breathe And by morning Gone was any trace of you, I think I am finally clean Let the flood carry away all my pictures of you The water filled my lungs, I screamed so loud But no one heard a thing

“You know, when somebody criticizes you, or says something behind your back, those words that they said about you, it’s like you feel like those words are written all over your face, all over you. And then, those words start to become echoes in your own mind. And then, there’s a real risk that those words could become a part of how you see yourself. The moment that you realize that you are NOT the opinion of somebody who doesn’t know you or care about you, that moment, when you realize that, it’s like you’re Clean.” ― Taylor Swift

Ten months sober, I must admit Just because you're clean, don't mean you don't miss it Ten months older, I won't give in Now that I'm clean, I'm never gonna risk it

The album won a range of awards and was ranked by publications amongst the best albums of 2022; it has been nominated for Album of the Year at the upcoming 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Journalists felt the album's ubiquitous success is a testament to Swift's cultural impact. To support Midnights and her previous albums, Swift embarked on the Eras Tour in 2023.

No, nothin' good starts in a getaway carIt was the best of times, the worst of crimes I struck a match and blew your mind But I didn't mean it, and you didn't see it The ties were black, the lies were white In shades of gray in candlelight I wanted to leave him, I needed a reason "X" marks the spot where we fell apart He poisoned the well, I was lyin' to myself I knew it from the first Old Fashioned, we were cursed We never had a shotgun shot in the dark

It was the great escape, the prison break The light of freedom on my face But you weren't thinkin' and I was just drinkin' While he was runnin' after us, I was screamin', "Go, go, go!" But with three of us, honey, it's a sideshow and a circus ain't a love story, now we're both sorry

In the story that Taylor tells, we hear about a relationship that's not going very well. Growing tired of that, Taylor's narrator decides she's had enough and wants something else. She decides to runaway in a nonconventional way and learns the hard way that it maybe wasn't the best idea.

You were drivin' the getaway car We were flyin', but we'd never get far Don't pretend it's such a mystery Think about the place where you first met me Ridin' in a getaway car There were sirens in the beat of your heart Should've known I'd be the first to leave Think about the place where you first met me In a getaway car, oh-oh-oh No, they never get far

REPUTATION

Her Most Romantic Album

You don’t need to hear Taylor Swift declare her old self dead to know that reputation is both a warning shot to her detractors and a full-scale artistic transformation. There's a new-found complexity to all these songs: they're dark and meaningful, catchy and lived-in, pointed and provocative. Taylor has many emotional layers together and confront the dynamic between her celebrity and personal life It all makes for a boundlessly energetic, soul-baring pop masterpiece—and her boldest statement yet.

Inspired by the series Game of Thrones, she split the album's lyrical in two: one is about the downsides of fame and the resultant anger, and the other about love amidst the tumult

THIS IS ME TRYING

I've been having a hard time adjusting I had the shiniest wheels, now they're rusting I didn't know if you'd care if i came back I have a lot of regrets about that Pulled the car off the road to the lookout Could've followed my fears all the way down And maybe I don't quite know what to say But I'm here in your doorway I just wanted you to know That this is me trying I just wanted you to know That this is me trying At least I'm trying And it's hard to be at a party when I feel like an open wound It's hard to be anywhere these days when all I want is you You're a flashback in a film reel on the one screen in my town

This song is about people who are suffering from addiction or mental illness who have an everyday struggle. Besides fighting everyday, nobody gives them credit for it and their best isn't good enough. Somebody like that must want everyone to know how hard it is for them, but you only know for yourself that you're trying your best.

I was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere Fell behind on my classmates, and I ended up here Pouring out my heart to a stranger But I didn't pour the whiskey

COLD AS YOU

You have a way of coming easily to me And when you take, you take the very best of me So I start a fight 'cause I need to feel somethin' And you do what you want 'cause I'm not what you wanted Oh, what a shame What a rainy ending given to a perfect day Just walk away Ain't no use defending words that you will never say And now that I'm sittin' here thinkin' it through I've never been anywhere cold as you You put up the walls and paint them all a shade of gray And I stood there loving you, and wished them all away And you come away with a great little story Of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you

I wrote this song with Liz, and I think the lyrics to this song are some of the best we’ve ever written. It’s about that moment where you realize someone isn’t at all who you thought they were, and that you’ve been trying to make excuses for someone who doesn’t deserve them. And that some people are just never going to love you. We were halfway through writing this when I started singing ‘And now that I’m sitting here thinking it through, I’ve never been anywhere cold as you’.

You never did give a damn thing, honey But I cried, cried for you And I know you wouldn't have told nobody if I died died for you Died for you

THE LAST TIME

Find myself at your door Just like all those times before I'm not sure how I got there All roads, they lead me here I imagine you are home In your room, all alone And you open your eyes into mine And everything feels better And right before your eyes I'm breaking No past, no reasons why Just you and me You find yourself at my door Just like all those times before You wear your best apology But I was there to watch you leave And all the times I let you in Just for you to go again Disappear when you come back Everything is better

The Last Time” is a song about the end of a relationship that has become toxic and destructive. The lyrics suggest that the relationship has been fraught with arguments, betrayal, and disappointment, and the couple has reached a breaking point. She recognizes that she has been mistreated and taken for granted, but she still feels a sense of hope and longing for things to improve. As the chorus suggests, she realizes that this is the really end and that she can’t continue to invest in a relationship that is draining her emotionally.

This is the last time I'm asking you this Put my name at the top of your list This is the last time I'm asking you why You break my heart in the blink of an eye, eye, eye This is the last time you tell me I've got it wrong This is the last time I say it's been you all along This is the last time I let you in my door This is the last time, I won't hurt you anymore

heyoo you just got pranked , there's nothin in here go listen to taylor now <3 - Sara ;)

YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN

You are somebody that we don't know But you're coming at my friends like a missile Why are you mad? When you could be GLAAD? Sunshine on the street at the parade But you would rather be in the dark ages Making that sign, must've taken all night You just need to take several seats and then try to restore the peace And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate 'Cause shade never made anybody less gay so

The song takes an equality-first stance, criticizing haters and homophobes alike, and ends with a call to followers to support her Senate petition in favor of the Equality Act, tied in with this month’s celebrations of Pride Month.

You need to calm down You're being too loud And I'm just like oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh You need to just stop Like, can you just not step on his gown? You need to calm down

THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS

It was so nice throwing big parties Jump into the pool from the balcony Everyone swimming in a champagne sea And there are no rules when you show up here Bass beat rattling the chandelier Feeling so Gatsby for that whole year So why'd you have to rain on my parade? I'm shaking my head, I'm locking the gates It was so nice being friends again There I was giving you a second chance But you stabbed me in the back while shaking my hand And therein lies the issue, friends don't try to trick you Get you on the phone and mind-twist you And so I took an axe to a mended fence But I'm not the only friend you've lost lately If only you weren't so shady

The song is an anthem for Swift, addressing the hurt and betrayal she felt at the hands of West and Kardashian and the way they shattered their friendship and trust. Swift sings about how she tried to be friends with West and how he betrayed her trust and friendship

Here's a toast to my real friends They don't care about the he said, she said And here's to my baby He ain't reading what they call me lately And here's to my mama Had to listen to all this drama And here's to you 'Cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do Hahaha, I can't even say it with a straight face!

The lyrics of the song are a clear expression of Swift’s anger and frustration, as she takes them to task for their behavior and paints them as villains who ruined a good thing. But even as she stands up for herself, she also acknowledges that this kind of behavior and negativity is what keeps us from having nice things in life

SHAKE IT OFF

In interviews, Swift has stated that “Shake It Off” was inspired by the negativity she faced online and in the media. She has spoken openly about the ways in which she has been criticized and judged throughout her career, particularly for the way she handles her dating life and her friendships with other celebrities. Rather than hiding or lashing out, she decided to channel her frustration into her music and create a song that would inspire others to rise above negativity and embrace themselves fully.

I stay out too late Got nothin' in my brain That's what people say, That's what people say, I go on too many dates But I can't make 'em stay At least that's what people say, That's what people say, But I keep cruisin' Can't stop, won't stop movin' It's like I got this music In my mind sayin', "It's gonna be alright" I never miss a beat I'm lightnin' on my feet And that's what they don't see, That's what they don't see, I'm dancin' on my own I'll make the moves up as I go And that's what they don't know, That's what they don't know

Cause the players gonna play, play, And the haters gonna hateBaby, I'm just gonna shake I shake it off, Heartbreakers gonna break And the fakers gonna fake Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake I shake it off, I shake it off

These lyrics have resonated with many people, particularly those who have experienced bullying, harassment, or criticism in their own lives. The song’s infectious beat and catchy chorus have led to its popularity becoming a mainstay at clubs, parties, and sporting events.

Innocent

I guess you really did it this timeLeft yourself in your warpath Lost your balance on a tightrope Lost your mind tryin' to get it back Wasn't it easier in your lunchbox days? Always a bigger bed to crawl into Wasn't it beautiful when you believed in everything And everybody believed in you? It's alright, just wait and see Your string of lights is still bright to me Oh, who you are is not where you've been You're still an innocent Did some things you can't speak of But at night you live it all again You wouldn't be shattered on the floor now If only you had seen what you know now then

Oh, who you are is not where you've been You're still an innocent It's okay, life is a tough crowd 32 and still growin' up now Who you are is not what you did You're still an innocent

People thinks that this song is about Kanye West, the man that we talked about before, that took her microphone during her speech to say that she didn't deserve to win as BeyoncéTaylor was a real fan of him and her first thought was that he wanted to congratulates with her, but as we know it didn't go like that

IF I WAS A MAN THEN I'D BE THE MAN

I would be complex I would be cool They'd say I played the field before I found someone to commit to And that would be ok For me to do Every conquest I had made would make me more of a boss to you I'd be a fearless leader I'd be an alpha type When everyone believes ya What's that like? They'd say I hustled Put in the work They wouldn't shake their heads and question how much of this I deserve What I was wearing If I was rude Could all be separated from my good ideas and power moves? And they would toast to me, oh Let the players play I'd be just like Leo In Saint-Tropez

"The Man” touches on a lot more than the privilege of being believed. Swift alludes to the trial and the excuses women hear for not being believed about sexual misconduct. Swift writes about how she wonders how her career would go if she were a man and, she calls out the double standard of working harder and then getting questioned for if the subsequent success was deserved.

I'm so sick of running as fast as I can Wondering if I'd get there quicker If I was a man And I'm so sick of them coming at me again 'Cause if I was a man Then I'd be the man I'd be the man I'd be the man

MARJORIE

Never be so kind, you forget to be clever Never be so clever, you forget to be kind The autumn chill that wakes me up You loved the amber skies so much Long limbs and frozen swims You'd always go past where our feet could touch And I complained the whole way there The car ride back and up the stairs I should've asked you questions I should've asked you how to be Asked you to write it down for me Should've kept every grocery store receipt 'Cause every scrap of you would be taken from me Watched as you signed your name Marjorie All your closets of backlogged dreams And how you left them all to me

You're alive, you're alive in my head What died didn't stay dead What died didn't stay dead You're alive, so alive And if I didn't know better I'd think you were singing to me now If I didn't know better I'd think you were still around I know better But I still feel you all around I know better But you're still around

Taylor's song ‘Marjorie’ honours her late grandmother, who died in 2003, when Swift was still in her early teens. In the song, we gain a snapshot of Swift’s childhood memories of her maternal grandmother and the time they spent swimming together: experiences which Swift can only appreciate fully now her grandmother is no longer around.

Marjorie remains alive because Swift keeps her grandmother’s memory alive in her own mind.

Este's a friend of mine We meet up every Tuesday night for dinner and a glass of wine Este's been losing sleep Her husband's acting different and it smells like infidelity "That ain't my merlot on his mouth" "That ain't my jewelry on our joint account" No, there ain't no doubt I think I'm gonna call him out He did it Este wasn't there Tuesday night at Olive Garden, at her job, or anywhere He reports his missing wife And I noticed when I passed his house his truck has got some brand new tires And his mistress moved in Sleeps in Este's bed and everything No, there ain't no doubt Somebody's gotta catch him out

NO BODY NO CRIME

I think he did it but I just can't prove itshe thinks I did it but she just can't prove it I think he did it but I just can't prove it No, no body, no crime But I ain't letting up until the day I die No, no I think he did it No, no He did it

Unable to prove the husband guilty, the song's narrator, a friend of Este, avenges her friend's death by murdering the husband, erases key evidences, and indirectly frames the mistress, who herself suspects the narrator. The central character is named after Este Haim, the band's bass player.

FOREVER WINTER

All this time I didn't know You were breakin' down I'd fall to pieces on the floor If you weren't around Too young to know it gets better I'll be summer sun for you forever Forever winter if you go He seems fine most of the time, forcing smiles and neverminds His laugh is a symphony, when the lights go out, it's hard to breathe I pull at every thread, tryna solve the puzzles in his head Live my life scared to death he'll decide to leave instead

In “Forever Winter,” which touches on themes of mental health and suicide, Taylor sings about how she worries about the subject of the song and wants to “disarm” the “bomb” in their head.

If I was standin' there in your apartment I'd take that bomb in your head and disarm it I'd say I love you even at your darkest And please don't go

In the song, Swift also sings about how her life will be “forever winter” if the subject of the track leaves.

“Trauma, depression, addiction, eating disorders, all that stuff can convince us we should isolate ourselves from the people who care about us but the song is a reminder that the people who care want to be let in, want to help and be supportive, and want to be in your corner with you, even if things are dark or messy right now”

Dear John

The following months they were spotted out to dinner together (27/01/2010) In October 2010 Speak Now was released with 'Dear John' as fifth track

Taylor and John first connected in 2009 when they collaborate on his single. they performed together many times after the ralising of the song 'Half Of My Heart'

Don't you think 19 is too young to be played by you dark twisted games, when i loved you so..

evidence this is about Mayer

Mayer replied to that song sayin that made HIM feel terrible. Then in 2013 he released 'Paper Doll' a song that fans speculate to think is about Taylor

Even though Taylor declined to share who it was about, she said that a lot of times when a relationship ends, one of the two people, write an email to say everything they wish they would have said and the song was for her the way to send that email.

CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS

Your Midas touch on the Chevy door November flush and your flannel cure "This dorm was once a madhouse" I made a joke, "Well, it's made for me" How evergreen, our group of friends Don't think we'll say that word again And soon they'll have the nerve to deck the halls That we once walked through One for the money, two for the show I never was ready, so I watch you go Sometimes you just don't know the answer 'Til someone's on their knees and asks you "She would've made such a lovely bride What a shame she's fucked in the head" they said, but you'll find the real thing instead She'll patch up your tapestry that I shred Your mom's ring in your pocket Her picture in your wallet You won't remember all my Champagne problems

Because I dropped your hand while dancing Left you out there standing Crestfallen on the landing Champagne problem

This song tells the story of a couple who deal with a failed proposal, though their family members have already popped the bubbly in a preemptive celebration. Because Taylor and her longtime beau, Joe Alwyn, have been dealing with engagement rumors, some listeners are concerned that the song tells a story about the demise of their own relationship.

ALL TOO WELL 10 MINUTE VERSION

Time won't fly, it's like I'm paralyzed by it I'd like to be my old self again But I'm still trying to find it After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone But you keep my old scarf from that very first week 'Cause it reminds you of innocence And it smells like me You can't get rid of it 'Cause you remember it all too well, yeah

And you call me up again just to break me like a promise So casually cruel in the name of being honest I'm a crumpled up piece of paper lying here 'Cause I remember it all, all, all Too well

YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN KID

From sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes I gave my blood, sweat, and tears for this I hosted parties and starved my body Like I'd be saved by a perfect kiss The jokes weren't funny, I took the money My friends from home don't know what to say I looked around in a blood-soaked gown And I saw something they can't take away 'Cause there were pages turned with the bridges burned Everything you lose is a step you take So make the friendship bracelets Take the moment and taste it You've got no reason to be afraid

How do I give advice to this many people about their life choices? I won’t. Scary news is: You’re on your own now. Cool news is: You’re on your own now. I leave you with this: We are led by our gut instincts, our intuition, our desires and fears, our scars and our dreams. And you will screw it up sometimes. So will I. And when I do, you will most likely read about on the internet. Anyway…hard things will happen to us. We will recover. We will learn from it. We will grow more resilient because of it. As long as we are fortunate enough to be breathing, we will breathe in, breathe through, breathe deep, breathe out.

You're on your own, kid Yeah, you can face this You're on your own, kid You always have been

TRAVIS AFTER TAYLOR'S CONCERT SAID

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. So I was a little bit hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are a friendship bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it. All right now.”

DELICATE

This ain't for the best My reputation's never been worse, so You must like me for me Yeah, I want you We can't make any promises Now can we, babe? But you can make me a drink Is it cool that I said all that? Is it chill that you're in my head? 'Cause I know that it's delicate Is it cool that I said all that? Is it too soon to do this yet? 'Cause I know that it's delicate

Delicate explores several themes, including vulnerability, fear of judgment, and the desire for authentic connections. Taylor Swift’s lyrics delve into the challenges of navigating relationships under the constant public eye.

Sometimes I wonder; when you sleep Are you ever dreaming of me? Sometimes when I look into your eyes I pretend you're mine, all the damn time 'Cause I like you

The video showcases her dance skills and follows her in a magical journey where she becomes invisible to the world.

LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO

‘Look What You Made Me Do’ is about revenge and how rough times turned Taylor into a smarter, tougher and stronger person. Swift is standing up and defending herself even if it means that she has to stand alone against the world. Generally, it’s about reinventing yourself and becoming a better version of you even after the darkest moments.

In the music video, Swift pokes fun at herself, reclaiming the snake imagery that was called by Kardashian
