Automatas, figuras humanas manejadas por mecanismos ocultos, se usaban para impresionar a los fieles campesinos en la iglesia.

Jacques Vaucason creo "el Pato", en lo cual un dispositivo mecanico que podia mover sus alas, comer y digerir el grano.

Pascal invento una maquina calculadora, para ayudar a su padre con los impuestos lo cual el dispositivo lo llamo Pascalin.

Leonardo da Vinci diseño lo que podria ser el primer robot humanoide, este podria sentarse, levantar los brazos y mover la cabeza a travez del cuello flexible.

Joseph-Marie Jacquard invento una maquina que podria ser progrmada para crear diseños que podian ser impresos en tela o tejido.

El termino del "robot" fue utilizado por primera vez en una obra llamda "R. U. R" o "Rossums Universal Robots" del escritor checo Karel Capek.

El escritor Isaac Asimov utilizo por primera vez la palabra "robotica" para describir la tecnologia de los robots y predijo el surgimiento de una poderosa industria robotica.

W. Grey Walter creo sus primeros robots; Elmer y Elise conocidos como los robots de tortuga. Los robots fueron capaces de encontrar su estacion de carga.

El primer camion para caminar fue controlado manualmente hecho por R. Mosher. En la cual podria caminar cuatro millas por hora.

Raymond Goertz diseño el primer brazo articulado como teleopardo sobre la Comision de Energia Atomica.

Victor Scheinman cre el brazo Stanford, que era el primer brazo robotico accionado electricamente, controlado por compitadora.

La primera maquina de caminar fue controlada por computadora y fue creada por Macgee y Frank .

Creado por General Robotics Corp, el RB5X era un robot programable equipado con sensores. Aquarobot, un robot ambulante para uso submarino, fue creado en el laboratorio de Robotica del Ministerio de Transporte de Japon.

IIntel (Integrated Electronics produjo el primer lote de chips 8080 de segunda generacion. Schenman desarrollo el brazo de manipulacion universal programable (PUMA).

V. S. Gurfinkle, A. Shneider, E. V. Gurfinkle y sus colegas del departamento de moviemiento de la Academia de Ciencias de Rusia en la cual crean el primer vehiculo para caminar en seis patas.

Hoy en día estamos rodeados de robots en todos los ámbitos de nuestra vida: aspiradores autónomos, entrega de paquetes a través de drones, vehículos sin conductor, robots educativos en las aulas, robots cirujanos en los hospitales…

El siglo XX ha supuesto un antes y un después en la robótica: en un solo siglo hemos pasado de fabricar robots mecánicos que se impulsan con el movimiento, hasta crear todo un universo de robots digitales e inteligencia artificial.

RoboTuna fue creado por David Barrett en el MIT. El robot fue utilizado para estudiar como nadan los peces. El robot robotizado de ruedas envio imagenes y datos sobre la Tierra y Marte.

Sony lanzo el primer perro robotico Aibo. Mittsubishi creo un pez robot. Laintencion de crear una version robotica de una especie extinta de pescado.

El Dr. Cynthia creo Kismet, una criatura robotica que interactuaba emocionalmente con la gente.
