We use the first condicional to talk about future situations or factors that we believe are real or possible. There always has to be a condition and a result.

How many options are there to write the conditional? 2 OPTIONs

1.Condition, result:If you put the conditional first, you will have to put a comma before the result. 2. Result + condition: But if you put the result first, you will have to put the condition without the comma.

When we can replace if with unless? and for when?

· Unless it has a negative use, it translates as: -->"a no ser qué" or "a menos qué" Example: Unless Emily is missing, we will have the exam.

· If has a positive use and is translated as: -->"si"Example: If I walk back, I´ll end up very tired.

When is also positive and can be translated as: "cuando". Example: --> When you do all your homework, you will have a prize.

When we can replace will with modal verb

Sometimes modal verbs can be used in both the condition and the result of the sentences.When this is in the results, the "will" is replace by the appropiate modal verb. If you can arrive on time, you should see the exhibition.
