The story of Nike
The least to a beast
Nike is an American company created in 1968 by Philip Knight and Bill Bowerman. the headquarters was Based in Beaverton, Oregon, it specializes in the manufacturing of sporting goods (shoes, clothing and sports equipment). The name Nike is inspired by the Greek goddess of victory Nike , a winged goddess capable of moving at high speed, whose best-known representation, a statue exhibited in the Louvre, is the Victory of Samothrace.
Nike's biggest competitors are Adidas (turnover of $19 billion and world number 2 in 2013 and Puma ($4.2 billion in 2013). In September 2014, Nike became the world's leading football equipment manufacturer, ahead of Adidas. Today nike is an iconic brand and do a mass production of him products
The brand has ensured its notoriety through a simple and quickly recognizable logo: the Swoosh, a comma placed upside down and horizontally; it was created by Carolyn Davidson in 1971 as a stylized representation of the goddess's wing. In 2005, Nike made 55% of its sales abroad6. The company is currently the largest sports equipment manufacturer in the world with a turnover of 32.4 billion dollars, ahead of Adidas which was the undisputed leader for 50 years
What make Nike and its products specials?
Nike became famous for releasing a revolutionary pair of sneakers called the "Waffle" in 1973. The name Nike refers to the Greek goddess of victory, Nike. Nike was created by two athletes who found Adidas and Puma shoes too expensive. The company was officially renamed Nike in 1971. Today, Nike is one of the best-selling brands in the world
so I can cite the elements that make Nike successful and its specialty: -the price: it is advantageously cheaper than its competitors and still remains a guarantee of customer safety (customer loyalty) -the quality of the products: Despite their reduced price, the quality is present at Nike in any product and shows their ambition. The quality attracts and the aesthetic also with pairs and clothes for all tastes and all ages. -The image of the brand: We know today that Nike attracts just by the name that everyone knows thanks to the muses and others. This creates a style trait for the brand and has been formed over the years.
lebron james a great image of nike
James signed a seven-year, $90 million contract with Nike on May 22, 2003. The deal was actually worth less than the $115 million that Reebok had offered him. Of course, James ultimately went with Nike due to its longevity in the marketplace.
-Lebron james represents the image that nike tries to give itself: victory. Obviously he represents it well with his record in the NBA. With his contract with Nike he joins the line of athletes who represented him before him.
