Enabling the Entry and Exit Delays feature will allow you to exit and enter your location without triggering an alarm. The purpose of this feature is to give you and your family the time you need while entering or exiting your home. You may configure the Entry/Exit Delay settings on your Arm Away and Arm Home modes.

How to Configure an Entry/Exit Delay for your Home Security System

When your Arlo Home Security System is set to Arm Away, the exit delay will give you time to leave your location before the devices trigger and escalate an Emergency Response. For example, you may want a one-minute delay, so that you can arm the security system and exit your home before sensors and cameras begin triggering motion.

While inside your house, your exit delay will begin when you set your mode to Arm Away to give you enough time to leave your home. You may adjust the duration of your Exit Delay. You may choose from 0 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 1 min 30 sec, 2 min, or 3 min. Tap or click the time next to Exit Delay to configure.

When your system is armed, the entry delay will begin once you enter your home. You can also adjust the Entry Delay to give yourself time to set the system to Standby before any devices trigger an Emergency Response. If the system is not changed to Standby mode before the entry delay ends, the alarm system will be triggered and the siren will sound. Event notifications and other cross-trigger actions such as camera recording are not affected by Entry Delay.

Countdown during Entry or Exit Delay: Entry Delays (per device) and Exit Delays (per mode) are set to 60 seconds by default but can be changed to a different length of time via the Arlo Secure App. Note: The keypad starts beeping to let you know the countdown timer for the entry or exit delay has begun. The beeping sound speeds up to warn you when there are only 15 seconds remaining for the countdown. Tap or click to change the Entry Delay time duration.

A greyed-out device means this will no longer activate an Emergency Response when triggered.
