The structure of a good biography

fourth paragraph: sum up the person's achievements and his/her plans for the future

Introduction: state who your biography revolves around but do that in a subtle way. (look at the model in the book) Don't start with "I'm going to talk about or this is a biography about"...that sounds over explicit. Also, specify what they are famous for .

Second and thirdparagraph: provide details about the person's life in chronological order In the second paragraph deal with the person's childhood, upbringing and studies in the third, about how she/he became famous and mention his/her main achievements.

TOP TIPS to nail your writing: -Before you start writing, write a scheme or a bullet point list of the points you'd like to include. -Put the facts you want to include in the biography in the correct chronological order. -Break the text up into well-organized paragraphs -Avoid repetitions. Use reference words (this/that/these/those) and pronouns, synonyms)

Task: Surf the net for information about a famous Spanish inventor. Follow the model in unit 2 of your book and write a biography about him/her.
