Karl Benz (1844–1929) was a German engineer and inventor, credited with creating the first practical automobile powered by an internal combustion engine. An assembly line is a production process that breaks the manufacture of a good into steps that are completed in a pre-defined sequence

The first gasoline-fueled, four-stroke cycle engine was built in Germany in 1876. In 1886, Carl Benz began the first commercial production of motor vehicles with internal combustion engines.
