Definition 3
At the age of 21, the squire was dubbed a knight. The lord touched him with the flat of his sword saying :
« I dub thee Sir…. ».
Thomas de Camoys
My coat of arms was composed of three white roundels because I was wealthy.
The camps
Henry V set up a camp in a field situated in the Southeast corner of the map, next to Maisoncelle. As for the French camp, it was set on the opposite of the English camp, behind the Agincourt wood.
The armies
The French placed their armies between Tramecourt on their left and Agincourt on their right. They blocked the English’s route to Calais. The English placed their armies between Tramecourt on their right and Agincourt on their left.
John Codrington
My coat of arms was composed of three lions and a red stripe in the middle.
Thomas Erpingham
My coat of arms was white in the middle because I was innocent. There were eight birds on a green background because I was affectionate.
The French troops
The French cavalry was divided into two groups. They were on the left and on the right of the front group of the men-at-arms. The French crossbowmen were hidden behind the French cavalries and the men-at-arms.
The English troops
Henry V placed 200 archers in the meadows close to the woods of Tramecourt and Agincourt. They could attack the French. In order to protect themselves the English men-at-arms and archers planted sharp wooden stakes in front of their army.
Definition 1
Usually at the age of 14, a page became a squire. He assisted the knight at tournaments and in battles. He learned how to fight with real weapons.
John Cornwall
My coat of arms was composed of a lion with a crown in the middle because I was victorious. The middle was white but the surrounding was black because I was resistant.
Richard de Vere
