VERB

Verbs are words that describe an action or talk about something that happens.

Verb Rules

  • If the subject is a singular or uncountable noun, then the verb must be singular.
  • If the subject is plural, then the verb must be plural, too.

For more information: https://www.masterclass.com/articles/subject-verb-agreement

Verb Rules

For third-person singular subjects (he, she, it, a singular noun), you typically add "s" to the base form of the verb.

For verbs ending in "-ss," "-sh," "-ch," "-x," or "-o," you usually add "es" instead of just "s" for third-person singular subjects.

For verbs ending in a consonant + y, change the "y" to "ies" for third-person singular subjects.
