The first two tabs of the tracker idicates communications with students and families. Successful communications are indicated in green font, and successful asynch communications are indicated in blue font. This tracker allows me to see which communications are most successful with each student as each method of communicaiton is also indicated (C - chat; L - live session; Z - One-on-One; P - Phone; E - Email)

This lesson introduces the Unit 5 Performance Based Assessment - this project allows students to explore different mediums to present theirinformation and encourages students to present using audio/video components.

This lesson guides learners through the creation of a visual representation of student-lead research. This lesson illustrates the choices students were able to make within the project.

This lesson introduces the Unit 2 Performance Based Assessment - this project has been modified from a written response to more a project-based while still evaluating the necessary skills. This project also allows students to choose their own topic and medium for production.

Launch Text Annotations

Modeling annotations in the launch text of each unit is used as a guide for annotations throughout the unit.

Skills Based Assessment

Alternative Assessment

Skills-based assessments and Keystone Sample questions are incorporated into the course.

This alternative assessment focuses on the skills using a simplified text and pre-writing process.

Catch Up Plans

At the end of each unit students who have fallen behind are automatically moved into the catch up plan for the unit in order to encourage re-engagment. This also allows students to explore and use the critical skills and content in the course with the flexibility of condensed lessons.
