Editors plan, coordinate, and revise material for publication in books, newspapers, or periodicals or on websites. Editors review story ideas and decide what material will appeal most to readers. During the review process, editors offer comments to improve the product and suggest titles and headlines.
VT editors work on studios and outside broadcasts, making the short films that go into a programme. On big entertainment programmes, like Strictly Come Dancing, they make the films that introduce the contestants. On a sports programme, they cut the films that set-up the teams and star players.

lighting director
Lighting directors are usually using the pre-set plots. Their job entails directing the pre-positioned beams to illuminate the stage. The house lighting person is usually a lighting director. A lighting designer is the crew member that's building their own rigs to create a lighting design for the show.
Lighting directors create the colour, texture and mood of a TV show, turning two-dimensional sets into 3D theatrical spaces. They use a variety of lighting and effects to focus attention on the action and enhance or reduce colour, sharpness, softness and form. In studio shows, lighting is integral to set design.
