1960

Década de 1960: El origen de Internet se remonta a la década de 1960, cuando el Departamento de Defensa de los Estados Unidos financió un proyecto llamado ARPAnet. Este proyecto tenía como objetivo crear una red de computadoras que pudiera resistir un ataque nuclear y permitir la comunicación entre diferentes sitios del país.

1990

1990s: La década de 1990 vio un gran crecimiento en el uso de Internet, con la aparición de los primeros proveedores de servicios de Internet (ISP) y el lanzamiento de la primera versión del navegador web Netscape Navigator. También fue durante esta época cuando se desarrollaron tecnologías como Java y JavaScript, que permitieron la creación de aplicaciones interactivas en la Red.

1970

Década de 1970: En la década de 1970, la red ARPAnet se expandió y se convirtió en una red de áreas de investigación, universidades e instituciones gubernamentales. También fue durante esta época cuando se desarrolló el protocolo TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), que se convertiría en el estándar para la comunicación en la Red.

1980

Década de 1980: En la década de 1980, Internet comenzó a expandirse hacia Europa y Asia, y se establecieron las primeras redes de área local (LAN) y redes de área amplia (WAN). También fue durante esta época cuando se inventó la World Wide Web, que permitió a los usuarios acceder a información y recursos en la Red mediante un navegador web.

2000

En la primera década del siglo XXI, Internet se centró en la disponibilidad de información en tiempo real. Se popularizaron servicios como Google, Facebook, Twitter y YouTube, que permitían a los usuarios acceder a información actualizada y compartir contenido en tiempo real.

2010

En la segunda década del siglo XXI, Internet se enfocó en la nube computacional y el análisis de grandes conjuntos de datos (big data). Los servicios en la nube como Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure y Google Cloud Platform permitieron a las empresas almacenar y procesar grandes cantidades de datos en la nube.

2020

En la tercera década del siglo XXI, Internet se ha expandido hacia la inteligencia artificial y el internet de las cosas (IoT). La IoT permite la conexión de dispositivos cotidianos a Internet, lo que permite la recopilación de datos y la automatización de tareas en áreas como la salud, la producción industrial y la automoción.En resumen, Internet ha evolucionado desde una red de computadoras para uso militar hasta una plataforma global que conecta a billones de personas y dispositivos, y continúa su expansión y evololución.
