Costumbre de la tribu huli

Los Huli viven tradicionalmente en viviendas separadas para hombres y mujeres, y los niños pasan a vivir con su padre cuando llegan a la pubertad. Los hombres solteros de la tribu viven todos juntos en chozas en el centro del pueblo, donde se realizan reuniones sociales y se utilizan para dormir. Los Huli tienen un sistema de subclanes y consideran que para ser "importante" un clan ha de tener mucha tierra para cultivar, cerdos como medida de riqueza y mujeres que puedan cultivarla.

. La vestimenta se complementa con pintura amarilla en sus rostros para demostrar su belleza, un delantal de hojas y un cinturón de trenzas para intimidar a sus enemigos. . Las mujeres de la tribu Huli usan faldas de hierba y se decoran el cuerpo con arcilla y pintura. . Los hombres también se decoran el cuerpo con arcilla coloreada y adornan sus pelucas con plumas de aves del paraíso, flores y pieles de animales.
