Dear Kids Magazine, We're writing to tell you about a good idea we had for saving water. We need to keep our hands clean but when we wash our hands, we waste a lot of water. At our school, we made a solar tap. It's a blue bag with a tap at the bottom. You fill the bag with water and put it outside in the sun for an hour. The sun makes the water warm. We turn on the tap to wash our hands and the water we use falls into a bucket. When the water in the bucket is cool, we use it to water the plants in the playground. We think it's a great idea. We save water and it isn't expensive. From Class 4, Playton School
